Enid's POV
It’s hard to believe it’s already here, the day Wednesday and I have been planning together for weeks, alongside Yoko, Divina, and Bianca. Today is our wedding day.
As I sit in front of the mirror, my nerves catch up to me. Divina is carefully adjusting the last details of my dress, while Bianca applies the final touches to my makeup. The room feels warm and supportive, filled with the quiet hum of excitement. But in the back of my mind, memories resurface.
I think about my first wedding, how different that day was. The bitter memory of Ajax lingers, like a ghost in the shadows. I had trusted him, and on the day that was supposed to be the day of our forced marriage, he killed me. That betrayal had cut deeper than any wound.
But this time… this time is different.
I glance up at the mirror and see my reflection, not just as Enid Sinclair, but as someone who has been given a second chance. A chance to stand beside the woman I love more than anything. Wednesday. It’s surreal, thinking about how far we’ve come, from meeting at the ruins, to navigating life together, and now, we’re about to exchange vows.
"Are you okay, Enid?" Bianca’s voice brings me out of my thoughts. She’s watching me with concern as she finishes up my makeup.
I smile at her through the mirror. "Yeah, I’m okay. Just… a little nervous."
Divina comes to stand beside me, her hand resting on my shoulder. "You look amazing. Wednesday is going to lose her mind when she sees you."
I chuckle softly, but the warmth of their support helps ease the tension in my chest. "Thanks, guys. I don’t know what I’d do without you two."
"Probably hide under a bed somewhere," Bianca teases lightly, and we all share a soft laugh.
I take a deep breath, feeling the weight of the moment sinking in. Today isn’t about the past, it’s about the future. My future with Wednesday, even though we have two months left together.
As Divina steps back to admire her work on my dress, she grins. "You’re ready, Enid."
I stand up slowly, my dress flowing around me as I move. I give one last glance in the mirror, my heart pounding, but I feel ready. Ready to start this new chapter. I run my fingers down the fabric of my dress, thinking about how different this feels, how right it feels.
Bianca smiles as she steps beside me. "It’s time."
With one last deep breath, I nod. "Let’s do this."
Together, we head toward the door, and I can already feel the excitement bubbling inside me as we make our way to the ceremony. Today is the day I marry Wednesday Addams, the love of my life.
My heart skipped a beat as Bianca and Divina took their places by my side, and together, we walked toward the entrance.
The doors opened, and the first thing I saw was the flowers, thousands of them, in every shade and color imaginable. My heart swelled at the sight, and I couldn’t help but smile. This was exactly what I had wanted, and somehow, Wednesday had made it happen. Even though she would’ve preferred something darker, something more in line with her gothic soul, she had let me have this.
And then I saw her, standing at the altar in her white dress, surrounded by all the flowers she would have gladly set on fire if it weren’t for me. She looked… ethereal, like some kind of dark angel, with her raven hair spilling over her shoulders and her dark eyes locked onto mine.
My breath caught in my throat. She was waiting for me, her usual stoic expression softening just the tiniest bit as I began to walk down the aisle. For a moment, it was just the two of us, me, in my bright, colorful world, and her, in the shadows she was so comfortably inhabited.
