Wednesday's pov

I can't believe I just did that. I mean, she saved my life. I can't just leave her out there soaking under the rain. Maybe keeping a wolf won't be too difficult, right ?

"Wednesday!!!" Enid shouts coming from the bathroom.

As soon as I heard her scream I ran towards the bathroom immediately. But my hand stops by the knob when I realize she could be naked right now.

"Are you alright there ?" I asks.

"No it's spicyyy" she whines and screams.

I laugh when I realize what's the only thing that's spicy in the bathroom. A toothpaste. I remember that I tought her how to brush her teeth. Maybe they use different cleaning tools back in the day. I open the door seeing her curled up on the bathroom floor. I kneel and cup her face with both of my hands trying not to laugh in front of her.

"Why is it spicy ?" she cries.

"You'll get used to it. Now go on wash your mouth" I chuckle, hiding my smile from Enid.

I wait for her to come out of the bathroom. And when she did I remember the girl from the painting. That it WAS her. The girl I admired first before getting scared when she came out of the painting. My hand suddenly holds my chest with the memory I remember randomly feeling the bead inside. Enid notices I was rubbing my chest thinking I'm hurt again. She ran towards me with a concerned look.

"Is your chest hurting again ?" Enid says. My eyes widen when she lifts my shirt a bit for her to have access to hold the middle of my chest from the inside.

"What ? I can feel that the bead is alright" she says confused.

I was left speechless making her confused even more. "Um... Wednesday ? Are you alright ?" She asks innocently.

I came back to my senses "ENID YOU CAN'T JUST LIFT MY SHIRT AND FEEL YOUR BEAD INSIDE" I exclaim.

"Oh... Sorry. It's just better to feel it without your clothes blocking my sense of touch" she pouts.

I sigh face palming my forehead. This girl is way too innocent. But I remembered that I shouldn't be too harsh on her since she got killed on the day of her wedding... I guess she doesn't remember anything just by the looks of her personality it's like she never even died that time...

"I'm sorry I won't do it again" she pouts again. Maybe Enid noticed that I was zoning out.

"It's fine, just keep your hands to yourself alright ?" I say.

"Okay my lo---" she stops when she sees me raising an eyebrow.

"Wednesday..." She finishes.

I really want to ask a lot of questions to Enid right now. I don't have work today so maybe we can make the most of my time asking questions.

"Hey Enid ?"

She looks back to me after her awkward attempt at calling me by that nickname again.

"Yes ?"

"Since I don't have work at the moment. Can I ask you questions about our situation right now ?" I ask.

"Of course, ask away" she says giving the brightest smile.

"Okay. Um.. question number 1.. you said, you've been waiting for me for centuries.  How come ?" I asks.

"All I remember is that I cursed my spirit to remain in that painting when I die. And in order for me to be reincarnated,,, someone should finish my artwork. And to show my gratitude, I'll be a faithful lover to that someone---" she stops hesitating to continue her sentence, and gives me a soft glance and look the other way again before opening her mouth.
