Wednesday's POV

Enid and I arrived in front of our house, and I couldn't deny the relief of finally being out of that hospital, even though I still felt like my stomach was ripping apart and my bruised face ached with every movement. Enid pushed my wheelchair, and I couldn’t help but furrow my brow when I looked up at her. She was giving me the brightest smile, something that was both comforting and a little suspicious.

As soon as Enid opened the door, my suspicions were confirmed. Colorful decorations hung from the ceiling, balloons, streamers, everything, and a large banner held by Yoko and Divina read: "WELCOME HOME WEDNESDAY!"

"WELCOME HOME TO OUR BELOVED GOTH GIRL!" Yoko and Divina exclaimed in unison, their voices filled with excitement.

For a moment, I was speechless. I blinked at the colorful chaos before me, and my lips curved into an involuntary smile. "What... is all of this?" I asked, my voice still raw from the hospital.

Enid knelt beside my wheelchair, her eyes sparkling with joy. "It’s a celebration, Willa. You’re home, and we wanted to make it special."

I tilted my head, taking in the cheerful decorations and the warmth of my friends. "Special? You do realize I have a deep-seated aversion to... this level of color." I said, trying to maintain my usual stoic demeanor.

"Come on, Wednesday. Enid used up all the pain relief patches in every pharmacy just to make this day special," Yoko exaggerated, throwing a teasing glance at Enid.

"Yoko!" Enid scolded, her cheeks flushing as I couldn't help but chuckle softly.

I turned my attention to the blonde beside me, a playful smirk tugging at the corners of my lips. "You've been redecorating our house?"

Enid's smile softened as she looked at me. "Yeah... It's kinda what kept me going every day while you were still... not awake." Her voice faltered slightly, the playful atmosphere fading as she spoke with more vulnerability.

I noticed how her eyes briefly shifted, revealing just how much my absence had affected her. I reached for her hand again, intertwining our fingers. "You didn't have to do all that, you know." I said, my tone gentle. "But... thank you."

She smiled weakly. "I just needed something to focus on, something to keep my mind off... everything. I guess making the house a little brighter made me feel like I was doing something for you."

"You did more than enough," I replied, my thumb brushing over her knuckles. "And as much as I hate to admit it, the place could use a little light. Maybe just a little."

Enid's face lit up again at my words. "I’ll take that as a win," she said, her smile widening.

"Don’t get used to it," I warned with a teasing look. "But for today, I’ll let it slide."

"Um, I don't mean to intervene with the sweet moment going on between you two, but I'm pretty hungry." Yoko said, placing the banner aside with a dramatic sigh.

We all chuckled as Enid pushed my wheelchair towards the kitchen. The smell of food filled the air, making me realize how much I missed home-cooked meals. As we began to eat, Divina's eyes suddenly caught something shining on my finger.

"Oh my god, congrats!" Divina exclaimed, practically bouncing in her seat. "Yoko, look! Our babies are engaged!"

Yoko's eyes widened as she turned to Enid, feigning disbelief. "ENID SINCLAIR, WHY IN THE HOSPITAL?"

Enid threw her hands up defensively, laughing. "Well, I couldn’t wait any longer! I thought, 'Hey, why not propose while she's still under heavy pain meds!'"
