Hyunjin pov.
As we sat outside, I noticed the police car slowly driving away. Felix beside me was clearly anxious, so we didn’t wait long and ran back inside.

In the crowd, Felix quickly disappeared, and I began to feel a bit lonely. I searched for his figure until I finally spotted him talking to Jisung. I approached them, curious about what they were discussing.

“What happened?” Felix asked, a slight panic in his voice.

Jisung looked surprised. “Police? Someone called the police? What’s going on here?”

Felix nodded. “We just saw a police car. What happened?”

Jisung furrowed his brow, as if trying to recall what might have happened. “I have no idea! I didn’t know anything was going on. Someone could have gotten scared or…”

There was uncertainty in his voice, and I felt a sense of unease hanging in the air. I wanted to find out what was going on, but Jisung seemed just as surprised as we were.

“We need to find out what’s happening,” I said, looking around for someone who might know the situation.

Felix nodded. “It can’t be anything serious, right?”

I noticed Jisung shaking his head. “I hope so.”

The three of us—Felix, Jisung, and I—were searching for Chan, wandering through the garden. We passed groups of people who seemed completely unaware, but we ignored them—we knew they wouldn’t help us. Suddenly, I spotted a familiar face in the crowd. It couldn’t be...

“Seungmin!” I whispered, trying to get his attention. “Seungmin, fuck!”

He finally turned, his eyes widening in surprise. “Oh crap!” he said quietly.

Jeongin, hearing the panic in his voice, glanced my way, and the smile on his face began to fade. They excused themselves from the group they were talking to and headed towards us.

“What are you doing here? You shouldn’t be out!” I asked Seungmin, and he shrugged.

“Jeongin has connections and got us tickets,” he explained.

Just after that, the boys surprised me with a question. “Who’s this?”

“This is my brother,” I said, pointing at Seungmin. They were momentarily taken aback but didn’t dwell on it.

“Listen, do you know anything about the police? Why were they here?” I asked, anxiously looking at their faces.

Both of them looked surprised by the question. “Police? We didn’t know they came,” Jeongin replied. “And why didn’t you ask Chan about it?”

“We’re looking for him!” I explained, scanning the area. “We need to find him.”

“In that case, we’re going with you,” Seungmin said, and Jeongin nodded. They both turned back to their group, signaling that they’d be gone for a moment.

Finally, we managed to find Chan. He was standing among a group of people, laughing and joking, but he immediately noticed us approaching. I pulled him aside, unable to hold back.

“Chan, what’s going on?” I asked, feeling the tension rising. “The police were here. What are you up to?”

He smiled lightly, trying to calm me down.

“Relax, it’s nothing serious,” he replied, waving his hand. “They probably got a false report. They just scared me, but there’s no need to panic. Just enjoy yourselves.”

“But why didn’t you tell us earlier?” Jeongin interjected, looking concerned as well.

Chan shrugged.

“I didn’t think it was that important. You guys want to have fun, not worry about the police, right?”

I glanced at Seungmin and then at Jeongin, who seemed a bit less certain.

“We need to keep looking for the others,” I added. “Have you seen where they might have gone?”

“I say you should go back to your group,” Chan replied. “I’ll join you guys soon.”

I saw Hyunjin, Seungmin, and Jeongin exchange glances, and then they moved on. We hoped to find the rest of our friends and figure out what was really going on.

As we walked away, I glanced back at Chan one more time, but he just smiled, returning to his company. I felt that this wasn’t over yet, but at least we were calmer now.

Sitting on the balcony, I watched as Jisung disappeared into the crowd after talking to Chan. Seungmin and Jeongin returned to their group, and I felt my anger towards my brother growing. “Why doesn’t he ever tell me what he’s planning? How could he show up at this party without a word?” Anger mixed with unease.

But what really worried me was Felix. Since we found Chan, he had been silent. I looked at him, wondering what was bothering him. “Felix, what’s wrong?” I asked, trying to connect. “Why aren’t you saying anything?”

Felix looked at me, and I saw sadness in his eyes. “I don’t know, Hyunjin. Everything is happening so fast… I feel like something isn’t right. Chan probably isn’t telling us everything. Why is everyone else still having fun as if nothing is happening?”

I tried to reassure him. “We need to talk about what’s going on. We can’t split up in a situation like this. Everyone is here for each other, and we should be together too.”

Felix nodded, but he still looked worried. “Maybe you’re right. I just… I’m afraid something bad is going to happen.”

“We’ll get through this together,” I assured him, trying to give him some courage.
