Seungmin pov.
I was walking with Jeongin through the mall, browsing shops without much purpose. I felt that spending time in this chaos was pointless, but Jeongin seemed excited by every new item on display.

“Maybe we should get some ice cream?” I suggested, still not convinced about searching through the shops.

“But maybe we’ll find something interesting!” Jeongin replied, stopping in front of a costume shop window. He stared curiously at the colorful accessories.

At that moment, I spotted Jisung and Felix passing by, and Jisung looked like he was about to jump out of his shoes with joy.

“Hey, what are you guys doing here?” Felix asked, coming closer.

Jeongin and I exchanged glances. How could they know something we didn’t?

“And you? Are you looking for costumes too?”

“Yeah, we’re going to a Halloween party at Chan’s!” Jisung said enthusiastically.

“A Halloween party?” Jeongin repeated, frowning. “We didn’t know about any party.”

“Seriously? You must not have gotten the invitations! It’s going to be a huge event!” Jisung shouted. “Everyone will be there!”

How could it be that we didn’t know anything about it? Jeongin and I exchanged surprised looks.

“But we don’t have any costumes at all,” I said, feeling a rising panic. “We didn’t know something like this was happening.”

“You can always find something quickly,” Felix added, stepping closer. “What ideas do you have for costumes?”

Jisung started searching the shelves, and I noticed Jeongin staring at a zombie costume.

“Maybe we could just be zombies?” Jeongin suggested, still unconvinced.

I laughed. “That would be pretty simple. Although… I’m not sure if it would be enough to stand out.”

“Don’t worry, guys! We’ll find something amazing together!” Jisung shouted, full of energy.

With each moment, I began to feel that what was supposed to be an ordinary shopping outing might turn into something much more exciting. But I still wondered why Jeongin was so excited when we weren’t even planning to go to this party. Maybe he was just hopeful for something new.

In the costume shop, the atmosphere was full of excitement. Jisung and Felix were rummaging through the shelves while I stood next to Jeongin, who was eagerly inspecting the costume accessories.

“Why are you so excited about these costumes?” I asked, leaning closer to Jeongin. “We’re not going to any party, and since we didn’t get an invitation, there must be a reason.”

Jeongin paused his searching and looked at me, surprised. “But… maybe it’s worth a try. Everyone says it’s going to be a great time!”

“Maybe so, but I don’t understand why you’re so excited when you don’t even have a costume,” I replied, feeling like his joy didn’t fit me.

“Don’t worry, I’ll get us in,” Jeongin said with a smile, as if it were nothing difficult. “I know a few people who can get us on the list.”

I stopped, surprised by his confidence. “Do you really think that’s possible?”

“Of course! After all, Halloween is a great chance for fun,” he replied, returning to rummaging through the shelves. “We just need to find costumes, and I’ll take care of the rest.”

Just then, Jisung called us from the other end of the store, holding costumes in his hands. “Come on! We’ve got something!”

I felt his enthusiasm slowly infecting me. Maybe it was really worth giving this party a chance, even if nothing indicated we would go.

I was sitting on the couch in the living room, nervously scrolling through my phone. A lot of time had passed since Jeongin promised to let me know if he got us into the party. Thoughts were racing through my head, and uncertainty was starting to irritate me. Could we really go?

As I checked my messages again, I heard a sudden sound of opening doors. Surprised, I looked up and saw Jeongin entering with a smile on his face.

“What are you doing here?” I asked, surprised that he showed up without any warning.

“We got it!” he shouted, closing the door behind him. “We’re in!”

“How is that possible?” I asked, unable to hide my surprise. “I was waiting for a message, and you come in unannounced.”

Jeongin smiled mysteriously. “It’s a secret, but trust me, it works!”

“Wait, where did you get those passes?” I pressed, wanting to know how it happened.

“I won’t tell you!” he replied with a twinkle in his eye. “You have to be patient, Seungmin. Everything will be revealed at the party.”

“Okay, but I want to know!” I protested, even though his excitement was contagious.

Jeongin laughed at my frustration. “Just be ready. It’s going to be great!”

I had no idea what would really happen, but I felt that this party could turn out to be just what we needed.

I jumped up from the couch. “Alright, then we need to get ready!”
