We stood hidden, leaning against the cold, hard wall of the building. I felt adrenaline pulsing through my veins. Together with Changbin, Felix, and Hyunjin, we listened for sounds coming from inside. We knew we had to be cautious—every move could betray us.

"We need to determine if there's just one attacker or more," Changbin whispered, shifting toward the corner to get a better view of the situation. His voice revealed the anxiety I also felt.

"We wait for a signal," I added, trying to reassure the others. The sounds of conversations and shuffling footsteps were barely audible, but we had no doubt that danger lurked just around the corner.

Suddenly, I noticed Felix couldn’t hold back the tension. "I have to see what's going on!" he shouted before we could stop him. He dashed toward the entrance, and my heart sank.

"Felix, no!" I yelled, trying to hold him back, but it was too late. The moment he bolted out, an attacker emerged from around the corner. He saw Felix, drew his weapon, and aimed it at him. I felt a chill run through me.

"No!" Hyunjin shouted. I felt panic grip my stomach. I knew we had to act fast.

"Let’s go!" I commanded Changbin and Hyunjin. We sprang into action, crossing the threshold of the building in one swift motion. Felix stood frozen, oblivious to the threat.

"Police! Hands up!" we shouted as we entered the chaos that had already unfolded. The criminal, startled by the sight of police officers, turned to run, but it was too late. We had him trapped, leaving him no chance to escape.

I watched as Changbin lunged at the guy, taking him down to the ground in one decisive move. The man struggled, but Changbin had him pinned down with ease. Without wasting words, he reached for the handcuffs and secured them around the man’s wrists.

"You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law," I heard Changbin recite the Miranda rights with full seriousness.

The man still tried to wriggle free, but Changbin pressed him harder against the ground. I stood nearby, observing, ready to step in if necessary. That feeling of knowing everything was under control was priceless. "This guy thought he was clever," I thought, looking at Changbin. "But we’ve got him now."

I watched everything unfold, feeling the adrenaline fade, and thoughts circled in my mind: "What if Felix hadn't gone out?" "What if we hadn't made it in time?"

I pondered everything that had happened when I heard a question that once again pulled me out of my thoughts.

"Did you know him before?" I heard the firm voice of the officer sitting across from me.

I glanced at him, trying to gather my thoughts. "No, I didn't know him. I didn't even know who he was," I replied, though my voice revealed my exhaustion.

"And did he tell you what he wanted? Did he mention anything before... before all this happened?" he continued, jotting something down in his notebook.

I swallowed hard and furrowed my brow, trying to recall every detail, even though these questions still seemed the same to me. "He didn't tell me anything specific. Just that I had to stay quiet and not do anything stupid."

The officer nodded, though I could see he was still searching for something. "I understand. Did you notice anything strange? Anything that might suggest why he took you?"

I fell into deeper thought, trying to piece together this chaotic jumble of memories.

I exited the interrogation room, feeling relief but also uncertainty. Felix and Hyunjin were waiting for me in the hallway, both looking worried.

"How did it go?" Felix asked, stepping closer.

"Fine, they’re letting me go," I answered, but then my gaze was drawn to the glass window in the interrogation room. Inside, Changbin and Minho were talking to our suspect.

Unease crept in. "What about that guy?" I asked, pointing at the window. "What will happen to him now?"

Hyunjin sighed, crossing his arms over his chest. "They’ll probably lock him up, but first they need to figure out what he was really planning. We have to make sure he's not connected to anyone else."

I nodded, staring into the room where Changbin and Minho were interrogating the man. My heart began to race at the thought of all the dangers we might face.

Felix placed a hand on my shoulder. "Don’t worry, everything will be fine. We have police who know what they’re doing."

I took a deep breath, feeling determined. "I hope so. I don't want any of this to happen again."

We sat in a small glass interrogation room, filled with a stifling atmosphere. On the table lay only a pen and a piece of paper, and on the other side sat him—the man we needed to interrogate. Changbin took a seat beside me, and I began to think about how to approach this conversation.

I glanced at Changbin, who, without looking at me, was carefully studying the suspect. He was tense, but I knew he could sense when to be aggressive and when to be gentle. I took a deep breath and decided to try to connect with him.

"Listen, you don’t have to be afraid," I said, trying to give my voice a soft tone. "We’ll keep it simple. Just tell us what happened, and maybe this will end better for you than you think."

A shadow of doubt crossed the suspect's face. He seemed to hesitate, as if weighing whether to trust us. Changbin, seeing this, moved a bit closer, and his posture became more dominant. In moments like this, he often repeated that "anything you say can and will be used against you." That phrase must have terrified him now.

Finally, with visible tension in his voice, he made a decision. "What do you want to know?" he asked, his tone revealing he was ready for a confrontation.

"We'll start with what happened that night. What really took place?" I asked, keeping my gaze locked on him.

Before he responded, I studied him closely. Every movement, every grimace could tell me more than it seemed. Changbin and I knew that if we could break his resistance, he might say something that shed new light on the case. I waited for his answer, hoping we would finally uncover the truth.
