Felix pov.
The party had come to an end. Everyone returned to school, and the police incident seemed to have vanished from everyone’s memory. No one was talking about it anymore, no one was asking questions. Only I couldn’t stop thinking about it. Why did the police show up? What actually happened? And why didn’t Chan tell us anything?
It was like an echo reverberating in my head. I couldn’t understand why the others just ignored it as if nothing had happened. And Chan? He had always been so open, but this time... he was hiding something. That was what troubled me the most.
I was sitting in class, lost in thought when Jisung approached my desk.
“What’s up, man? Why do you look like that?” he asked with concern, sitting down next to me.
I looked at him with a slight smile, but quickly returned to my worries.
“I can’t stop thinking about the police... Why did they come to Chan’s place, and why didn’t he want to say anything? Something feels off.”
Jisung rolled his eyes, giving me a pat on the shoulder.
“Come on. Some neighbor probably called the cops. You know there’s always some nosy neighbor who interferes and doesn’t let people have a good time.”
I smiled faintly, but still felt like something was off.
I barely had time to respond to Jisung when the classroom door opened and the teacher walked in. Quietly but firmly, she closed the door behind her, placing the attendance book on the desk. That was the sign that class was starting.
“Good morning, class,” she said in her typical calm tone, though it was clear she was already tired. “I hope everyone prepared for today’s lesson because we have a lot of work ahead.”
Jisung nudged me in the arm as if to ask if I was ready. In reality, I barely remembered what the lesson was about. All I had in my head was one thing – the police at Chan’s and why he hadn’t explained anything.

Changbin pov.
We were at the station, a bit tired after a long shift when our boss walked into the office with something in his hand. I immediately sensed it was not good news. He walked through the office, holding a piece of paper, and said:
“Gentlemen, we have a call at the same address as before. Chan’s house. Someone called the dispatch.”
Minho perked up immediately, his eyes sparkling:
“I told you something smelled fishy!”
I glanced at him and without hesitation replied:
“Sorry, that’s me... I just had a double cheeseburger and it’s hitting me.”
Minho turned around with a look that made it hard for me to hold back a laugh.
“I’m not talking about you, idiot!” he scoffed. “That whole Chan, the party owner. He’s been shady from the start. Now we have a call at his address. Weird, right?”
I shrugged, trying to take a more serious tone but still amused.
“You’re right, but we still don’t know the details. They didn’t tell us what exactly happened.”
Minho sighed, as if he was tired of my attitude.
“It’s time to find out, get your ass moving, and let’s go.”
I chuckled quietly.
“I love you, man, really.”
Minho shook his head and scoffed:
“Don’t butter me up; I’ll still deduct the cost of that cheeseburger from you!”
I laughed out loud, but I knew serious work was about to begin. We needed to return to Chan’s address because something was definitely going on there.

We got out of the patrol car, and I walked toward the door, glancing at Minho.
“What do you think happened there?” I asked as I walked up the driveway.
“I don’t know, but admit I was right about the guy,” Minho replied with a slight smile.
“Ugh, why doesn’t the boss ever give details right away?” I sighed.
“But you didn’t admit it,” Minho laughed.
I shot him a killer look.
“Eh, never mind,” Minho shrugged.
“Mr. Chan!” I called, stopping in front of the door. “Mr. Christopher, please open the door, police!”
Minho looked at me, surprised.
“How do you know what his full name is?”
“I dug around in some documents,” I answered, trying to sound serious.
“Come on, or I’ll think we came for you instead of him,” Minho joked.
“You’re exaggerating,” I replied just before Chan opened the door.

We were sitting on the couch in Chan’s house. I held a notebook, jotting down all the information I could gather.
“Thanks, Chan, for all the explanations,” I said, tearing my gaze away from my notes. “It makes things much easier.”
Chan nodded, a slight worry etched on his face. Minho, sitting beside me, finally spoke up.
“And this time I’m not letting you weasel out of this crap so easily,” he threw over his shoulder with a smile, but there was a note of seriousness in his voice.
I started laughing because I knew Minho wasn’t joking.
“And you don’t overdo it,” I replied, glancing at Chan, who was clearly relaxing.
We stood up, said our goodbyes, and left, but I still felt like this case was not closed.
