Chan pov.
Standing in the kitchen, I was startled by the sudden commotion. My friend burst through the door, looking completely freaked out.
"Damn it, Chan, why'd you call the cops?" he shouted, and I raised my eyebrows, not understanding what he was talking about. "Did you forget I’m on probation? I can’t be out of the house! If they catch me here…"
"Hey, hey! Calm down," I cut him off, trying to stay composed. "What cops? I didn’t call anyone!"
I looked at him, noticing how stressed he was getting.
"Besides," I added, trying to reassure him, "Don’t jump to conclusions. They don’t have to know you’re here. I’ll handle it."
I glanced toward the window, making sure no one was around. I wanted this party to go smoothly, not for my friend to get into trouble.
"Alright, but if anyone finds out…" he muttered, still uneasy.
"Trust me, we’ll be fine," I replied confidently. "Just stay here and enjoy yourself."
After all, this night was supposed to be about fun, not stress.
I stepped outside, feeling my heart race as I spotted two cops. I decided to keep my cool.
"Good evening, how can I help you?" I asked, trying to sound confident.
"Good evening, Commissioner Seo Changbin," one of them replied, showing his badge. "This is Officer Lee Minho. We received a report about an incident."
I blinked, feeling a growing sense of worry.
"What incident? I don’t know anything about that," I protested.
"Yeah? What’s with this party? Do you have a permit?" Minho was clearly irritated.
"A permit? You can’t throw a party anymore?" I replied, trying to keep my frustration in check.
"Not really. Doesn’t matter, we’ve got a report, and we have a warrant to enter," Minho was relentless.
"Come on, guys, there’s nothing going on here. If something were happening, I’d know about it!" I tried to convince them.
"Big talk for someone with nothing to hide," Minho sneered. "Why are you acting so tough?"
"Calm down, we’re not here to argue," Changbin intervened, trying to deescalate the situation.
"Fine, come on in," I said, letting them pass, feeling the tension rise.
They walked inside, and as Minho passed, he bumped me with his shoulder.
"Asshole," he muttered under his breath.
Hearing this, Changbin turned to Minho:
"Take it easy, Minho. Don’t let him get under your skin."
Minho scoffed, and both officers made their way through the crowd, surveying the situation. I could feel this wasn’t over yet.

I was sitting in the kitchen with my friend, chatting about how much fun we were having. Suddenly, I heard a noise in the hallway, and before I knew it, the officers were back.
"So, did you guys find anything illegal?" I joked, trying to ease the tension.
"Don’t get cocky. Otherwise, we’ll have a different kind of conversation. And your friend? Shouldn’t he be asleep at home?" Minho said, looking at me with displeasure.
"Friend? No, officers, that’s my brother. He lives here," I replied, hoping that would be enough to get them off our backs.
"Lives here? That’s the dumbest thing I’ve heard," Minho scoffed.
"Come on, Minho, let’s go. There’s nothing for us here," Changbin said, glancing at me.
"Alright, we’re leaving. Don’t try anything funny, or we’ll be back, and it’ll end differently," Minho added, to which I nodded, trying to stay calm.
I breathed a sigh of relief once they were gone, knowing I had to come up with something to keep everyone safe.
Right after the cops left, I couldn’t believe the situation even happened. I smiled at my friend, but then I heard him say:
"See? What’s the panic for? You’re not going to jail, relax."
I felt like I had to respond somehow, but as I was about to leave, I heard behind me:
"Chan! What was the report about?"
I just smiled and tossed over my shoulder:
"Have fun."
I wasn’t about to get into the details. After all, this party was supposed to be way better than talking to the police.

Changbin pov.
I got into the squad car, still thinking about the party. Minho sat next to me, clearly still upset.
"Calm down, don’t let that jerk get to you," I said, trying to ease his tension. "He’s just your typical arrogant idiot. Really not worth it."
"Something about him doesn’t sit right," Minho muttered, shaking his head. "He was too cocky."
"Minho, let it go. It’s not worth getting worked up over. Remember, we’re just doing our job."
I knew I had to get him to unwind a bit. These situations can be stressful, but we have to keep it cool.
As we pulled away from the driveway, Minho stared out the window, clearly deep in thought.
"Changbin," he broke the silence, "why did we let them continue the party? If there was something illegal going on, we should’ve shut it down."
I sighed, trying to explain. "The report was vague. We didn’t want to be the ones to ruin their fun. Besides, sometimes it’s better to let things play out. We have our jobs, we don’t need to be at every party."
Minho still looked uneasy. "But what if that party was just a cover for something bigger?"
I nodded, understanding his concern. "I know it’s hard. But for now, we don’t have any evidence. I’d rather see things with my own eyes before we act."
Minho nodded, but his face showed doubt. "Let’s hope nothing bad happens."
I smiled, trying to lighten the mood. "Well, if anything does happen, you can always shoot me to prove I was wrong."
Minho snorted, but I saw him smile. "Don’t joke around. This is serious work, Changbin."
"I know, I know. I’m just trying to add some humor to the situation. Maybe we’ll finally get a weekend off and take a break from all these parties."
He agreed, and I could see the gratitude in his eyes. "At least we have that drink waiting for us at the station."
"And pizza, right?" I added, making him smile again.
