Changbin pov.
We were sitting at a table in a small, darkened room in the police station when the boss asked what we had learned from the guy. Fatigue was taking its toll, but I knew we had to act quickly.

“It was tough,” I said, sighing. “This guy has no intention of cooperating with us, but we managed to get a few details about his contacts.”

Minho nodded. "He said he called some boss. It seems like it's more serious than we thought."

At that moment, one of the policemen who had been questioning Jisung entered the room. His worried expression immediately caught our attention.

"We need to talk," he said, approaching our table. "Someone else was supposed to be there. This guy called his boss, and that could be key. We need to go back again."

“As soon as possible,” I agreed. “If that’s true, then we might have a chance to learn more about their plans.”

Minho added, "Maybe they're trying to contact that man. We need to act fast before they do something stupid."

The chief nodded, and I felt the tension rise. “Do what you have to. This may be our last chance to catch them at the right moment.”

We stood up from the table with determination. Our minds were already focused on the new mission, and adrenaline was starting to flow through our veins. I knew we couldn't afford to make a mistake.

Minho pov.
We got there and I immediately noticed something was wrong. There were more cars than we expected. I knew this didn't look like a normal meeting, so I drew my weapon. We crept carefully, trying not to draw attention to ourselves, until Chan suddenly appeared.

“I knew you were up to something,” I thought, but before I could say anything, Chan threw up his hands and started explaining himself.

"It's not what you think, I need help!" I heard.

Before I could react, a man came around the corner, gun pointed straight at Chan. In a split second, Changbin and I reacted.

“Police, drop your gun!” I shouted, aiming it at him.

I stepped closer, ready to act. “Step away from the weapon and surrender!” I added. The man looked at us, resigned, and after a moment lowered his weapon. I handcuffed him and Changbin helped me walk him to the police car.

Pov. Hyunjin
I sat on one of those uncomfortable police chairs, constantly tugging at the sleeve of my jacket. I had only one thought in my mind – when will this all end? Felix and Jisung were sitting next to each other, but the atmosphere was tense, no one was saying anything. I could feel each of us waiting for some news.

Finally the door opened and a policeman walked in. We all looked at him hopefully.

"Officer Minho and Commissioner Changbin asked me to inform you that they managed to apprehend the suspect," he said, and I was about to breathe a sigh of relief when he added something that completely surprised me. “And... Chan is safe.”

I froze. Chan? What was he doing there?

“Chan?!” It came out before I could think. I stood up from my chair, unable to believe what I had just heard.

I looked at Felix and Jisung. Felix looked like his world had stopped, and Jisung immediately started asking:

“What do you mean, Chan? We didn't know he was there!”

I had no idea either. The policeman tried to calm us down by raising his hand.

"It was a surprise to everyone. Chan was trying to handle the situation himself, which is why he didn't tell you. When Minho and Changbin got there, they ran into him. We managed to save him before something worse happened."

I shook my head, trying to understand how Chan could have kept this from us.

“Why didn’t he say anything?” Felix asked before I could ask myself. “He knew what was happening!”

"They're still questioning him," the policeman replied. "We don't know all the details yet. But he's fine, thanks to the quick action of Minho and Changbin, everything went smoothly."

I sighed heavily. It was a shock. I sat back down, my legs still shaking. Felix looked worried, and Jisung was quiet, which was rare.

“We need to talk to him,” I said, looking at the others. “We need to find out why he kept it a secret.”

We stood in the hallway, in the dark room of the police station, the silence thick as the air before a storm. Jisung, Felix, and I exchanged worried glances.

“I really thought Chan might be… You know,” I began, not knowing how to express my concerns.

"Yeah. Me too..." Felix chimed in, his voice full of uncertainty. "All those people... we thought the Chan could..."

“Kill?” Chan finished, stepping in at the right moment, his voice serious and full of emotion.

Surprised, we looked in his direction.

"Yes, I know. You couldn't trust me because of all this. And I understand," he continued, looking at us with deep understanding. "It all started with that party, and most of those people were. So I was the suspect."

I remained silent while Jisung and Felix exchanged surprised glances.

“I just wanted this party to be remembered well, not like this… not like this.” Chan looked at us, as if searching for support in our eyes.

We began to explain what had happened so far. The individual events began to fit together into a complex puzzle, and as we talked, the tension in our hearts slowly began to ease.
