AN: Who's excited? Lots going on so this will probably be longer than expected.

Courtney POV

I couldn't look away from those eyes; The same ones I've seen constantly, the ones I thought were always mesmerizing to stare into, the ones that looked back at me with care and warmth.

Forgetting that my body was wet after falling into the iced river I currently stared at the 7-foot-tall black wolf that's saved me for the third time; only this time it was different.

" D-Duncan is it you? " I asked watching him looking down to the ground waiting and expressing a look of dread.

As I was about to say something my body suddenly started shivering fast meaning I was beginning to freeze.

Wrapping my arms around myself trying to warm my body I was barely able to heat up.

I'm so cold, if I don't get help I'll die.

I felt something hot coil around me and lay against something furry.

Seeing black fur, I turn my head seeing Duncan keeping me warm using his body heat.

He looked at me momentarily before looking around to make sure nothing was coming, I'm guessing he wanted to be alert in case those bad wolves showed up.

I bend my legs up only to see his tail rest on my legs, I gotta admit that was cute and it was nice.

I couldn't look away from him. Is this what he wanted to tell me? I remember that night him saying...

" I don't know how you see me but I'm not just this person you see there's something else about me I need you to know "

Carefully I reach my hand out and rest it close to his neck, making him look at me to get his attention.

" Is this what you were trying to tell me? " I asked resting my head against him as he faced the ground along with a heavy exhale.

I could see in his eyes that he's been scared and nervous to tell me this.

Everyone sees Duncan as a really powerful and highly respected businessman seen and known for the empire his family has built.

But now seeing what he is underneath all that; I don't see him as a monster, which is probably what he was worried about. He must thought have I would be scared of him, but I wasn't.

" Your," I said staring into his eyes.

Duncan curls his body to bring me closer to keep me warmer; making me smile.

" I guess this is also why you're always hot 🔥? " I asked feeling his head rest beside me along with hearing him sigh.

I carefully pet the top of his head making him make moan-like sounds. If I had been told that I would be getting cuddled by a giant Wolf then I would say that's insane, but here I am.

" Duncan "

Raising his head he looks directly at me, I get a bit shy.

" I can't thank you enough," I said before kissing his nose only to make him go still "Uh...are you okay? " lightly petting his head.

KILL ME NOW!!!!

How did I get this incredible and very rare woman who's looking past everything? After everything she's gone through tonight and figuring out it's been me this whole time here she is.
