"I can't stay here a week alone" I said sat on FaceTime to kensie "please come visit" I said as she shook her head

"I can't Nic I have work I can't just drop everything and fly to America" she replied as I groaned "why are you going to be alone? Where's Oli spend time with him" she suggested as I shook my head

"He's flying to London this evening" I said as she shook her head at me and rolled her eyes "what?!"

"You're really thick sometimes you know that" she joked as I looked at her confused "get on that flight you fool he is literally flying to where you are from go with him and I'll see you when I'm free"

"You're really annoying when you're right" I replied laughing annoyed at the fact I hadn't  thought of that myself "I'll have a look for flights now" I said as she nodded

"Bye Nicky" she laughed before waving and hanging up as I pulled my laptop out of my bag and began googling instantly finding Oli's 10 o'clock British airways flight to London.

A rush of excitement overtook me and a genuine smile ran across my face as I realised I was able to go home and have an actual break. I hadn't been home much since I began living with Luke but whenever I did I made sure I made the most of it seeing friends and family whilst also going to my favourite spots. I quickly picked up my phone wanted to check with Oli that I could come with him so he didn't think I was a freak

"Hello?" He said confused "I thought you had soundcheck"

"I did long story, Luke is ill I have the week off" I quickly explained as I heard him him in response

"Come to London with me" he quickly replied as my mouth opened gobsmacked at what he'd just suggested

"I was just about to ask if I could fly with you" I said as he laughed

"We'll book your ticket and I'll get my taxi to come pick you up in about an hour. Get packing and I'll see you soon" he said before I said bye and began typing my card details into the website as fast as possible before basically sprinting to the back of the bus to find my blue suitcase easily chucking in almost all of my clothes forgetting there would be a weight limit on my suitcase.

As I scrambled around the bus trying to find toiletries, my Nintendo switch and last bits and bobs a small knock ran through the bus causing me to roll my eyes really not wanting a distraction right now.

"Come in" I shouted really not bothered to walk to the other side of the bus

"Need help packing?" A voice I quickly recognised as Oli said making me smile and run in his direction straight into his arms like an excited dog happy to see their owner. It had only been a few hours since I last saw him but his company was all I was craving at the moment

"Sorry I look a mess" I quickly said realising my hair was everywhere and I was in my comfy clothes that I had owned for way too long

"It's okay you look cute" he smiled moving stray hair out of my eyes before kissing my forehead lightly "where can I help?" He asked as I pointed towards the pile of clothes next to my suitcase

"Just fold those up please" I replied before he nodded and began folding as I continued packing my toiletries hoping my switch would appear before our taxi did.

The happiness of going home was a constant in my mind. It was only 5 days but it was so needed. 5 days to be Nicky. 5 days to visit my home city. 5 days to go see my best friend. 5 days without Luke.
