Song after song I fell more in love with the stage presence Oli and his band mates had and the amazing songs they had written. The stage designs and visuals were beyond perfect and fit each song amazingly capturing the essence of each song.

It was beyond clear that similar to 5sos the band had been nothing but a positive influence on so many of their fans with multiple people around is crying during certain songs and others simply just having the time of their lives constantly. This was what live music was about and they were absolutely unreal at delivering an amazing show.

I quickly diverted my attention to the empty cup I now had and quickly made my way to the bar wanting to get a refill as quickly as possible. By this point the bartender already knew I was only drinking Diet Coke so basically had it ready almost every time I went up but for some reason this time he wasn't there. I quickly turned on my phone and decided to scroll through socials whilst I waited for his return.

"What the fuck" I whispered to myself seeing my whole Twitter feed full of just me

News never travels slowly when 5sos fans are about. A few random car photos later and a few random tweets from people I used to go to school with my eyes widened as I saw a tweet clearly directed at me

Lukescurls: call me crazy but does anyone else find it odd that Luke (her boyfriend) is ill and she's out dancing at a concert in a completely different country ???

5Sauce: I get that she can go out and have fun but this is a bit far? A load of shows were cancelled because Luke is ill and she's out having fun? This isn't fair on Luke or the people who had their shows cancelled *video of Nicky enjoying the show*

I quickly turned my phone off wanting to end the negativity there and then and not have it ruin my night. There was pain in my chest that overwhelmed me suddenly. These fans truly had no idea that I was no longer with him. They had no idea what he was like behind closed doors and the way he has behaved. I wanted to scream it from the rooftops but I couldn't. It would ruin so so so much for so many people if I did

"You okay?" Kensie asked making her way to the bar

"Yeah I'm okay just petty fans not wanting me to live" I replied as she rolled her eyes and pulled me back towards the seats so we could continue watching the show

"The fans don't matter Nicky, if they want to spout hate then let them. Right now he is all you should care about" she explained pointing to Oli who was pouring every last bit of passion he had into the song he was singing.

Although the enjoyment of watching bring me the horizon play song after song was next level and I couldn't wish for a better way to spend my evening the tweets continued to run laps around my mind. None of this was fair it was always me being painted in a bad light. Never him.

I quickly opened my phone again and began looking through Twitter seeing that the 'news' of my life had slowly started to slow down and the majority of tweets had changed their tune with Luke's name being the main focus now

Lukescurls: I guess if Luke says it's okay then we all just need to put our own feelings aside?

The quick change of tune from fans aggravated me but also caused a rush of confusion. How on earth has he said it was okay and how were they now satisfied that I had received Luke's blessing when less than 20 minutes ago I was being ripped to shreds. I continued scrolling until I found a tweet that gave me all the answers I needed.

Luke5SOS: Everyone deserves a break sometimes! Let people enjoy the short rest they've been given.
