As I left the stage I quickly looked to my right to see Luke no longer stood there. After I debuted the song there was an anger across his face that didn't seem to shift. I'd never seen that look before and it had caused a pit to grow in my stomach.

I didn't know what to expect leaving the stage and when he would ambush me to call me every horrid name under the sun for writing a song about him the same way he had done to me. As I turned the corner towards the dressing room all I could hear was shouting and things being smashed.

As I got closer all I could see was Michael's dressing room door open and the voices getting louder

"I thought you were my friend" a voice shouted before a crash followed

"I am your friend but I'm also Nicky and you're being an ass" they replied

Luke was taking the anger that was written all over his face out on Michael.

"Oi" I shouted now standing at the doorway seeing the absolute mess that Luke had created from throwing and flipping things in frustration

"I don't want to talk or see you right now" Luke spat as I shook my head

"I've said that to you a lot recently and you've ignored it every single time so I'm not going anywhere" I replied as he started walking towards me before Michael stood in his way stopping him in his tracks.

"Michael move" Luke said angrily as Michael shook his head

"No because you'll do something you regret and I'm not letting you lay a finger on her you can do what you want to me but not to her" Michael stated before Luke pushed him causing Michael to smack against the wall

Luke was hot on his heels and instantly had him pinned against the wall

"You really think I'd lay a finger on her. The person I love" he shouted in Michael's face as I stood there gobsmacked trying to see if anyone else was coming down the corridor to help stop the heated argument that was going on

"You don't know what love is Luke you don't treat her like you love her"

"What you'd do a better job would you? Have her if you want her mate" he laughed as Michael shook his head "come on mate it's obvious you fancy her you've not left her side since we split"

"Luke stop" I pleaded as his shouting got progressively louder

"You've got nerve mate" Michael said pushing Luke

"Don't fucking touch me" Luke shouted raising his arm to hit Michael

I couldn't just stand there watching anymore I needed help and no one was coming. How could I be the only one hearing what was happening. Luke was about to hit Michael for simply standing up for me.

"Luke no" I shouted standing in between the two of them as Lukes hand quickly connected to the side of my face.

The room went silent.

I had taken the hit that was meant for Michael. I quickly touched my face in pain before looked up at Luke whose face was suddenly drained of all colour.

"Nicky I'm so sorry" he said slowly as I shook my head "that wasn't meant for you" he replied as I looked in Michael's direction seeing the colour had also drained from his face

We were all in shock.

"Nicky" Luke pleaded as I stood there silent. This was all my fault. If I hadn't written and performed the song then none of this would have happened. Luke wouldn't have got mad at Michael. They wouldn't have started to fight and I wouldn't have been hit. A rush of emotion suddenly hit and I couldn't help but stand there and begin to cry. He'd hit me. And if he hadn't hit me it would have been Michael instead.

"What the fuck have you two done" Calum said walking in with Ashton hot on his heels

The room was still silent apart from my sobs.

"Nicky? Luke? Michael?" Ashton asked as we all still stood there in shock there were simply no words to describe what had happened

"He hit Nicky" Michael finally coughed up as both me and Luke looked in his direction "Nicky you weren't going to tell them so I had to" he pleaded as I continued to cry and looked at Luke wanting nothing more than receive a hug from him.

"Dude seriously" Ashton shouted as I took myself to the couch in the corner of the room and sat there watching the boys continue to shout at Luke expressing how angry they were at him. Throughout all of it Luke continued eye contact with me clearly only focusing on me in the situation.

The only word I could hear was Luke's name over and over again as they all progressively got more angry at him not responding to them.

"Why did you do it?"

"Do you feel better now that you've hit someone has all that pent up aggression gone"

"Luke answer us"

The same things were repeated over and over again by the boys time and time again before I finally plucked up the courage to say something

"It was an accident" I whispered as they all quickly turned to look my way

"He didn't mean to it's fine I forgive him please just stop with the shouting" I pleaded

"Nicky he hit you" Calum said as I nodded

"I know but it was an accident drop it please I don't want to hear anything else about it" and with that I stood up and left the room making my way to my own room.
