Wow, what a journey this story has been! Writing Veil of Secrets has truly been a roller coaster of emotions, not only for the characters but for me as well. When I first started, I had no idea how difficult it would be to choose who Aria would end up with. Every love interest brought something unique to the table: Damian, with his protective nature; Sebastian, with his kindness and fierce loyalty; and Lucas, with the deep, undeniable bond they shared.
I spent countless hours trying to figure out the right path for Aria, and, honestly, it wasn't easy. There were moments I felt sure she would end up with one of them, only to rethink everything when writing a particularly powerful scene with another character. Each of them had such compelling dynamics with her, making it difficult to choose who would be her final match. In the end, though, it became clear that Lucas was the one who resonated with her in the most profound way. His unwavering love, even through all the heartbreak and challenges, made their connection stand out.
The twists, the heartbreak, and the moments of growth were all part of Aria's journey, and I hope you felt every bit of it with her. This story was just as much about her finding herself as it was about her finding love. Fate is also a really funny thing. We may think that it's settled but until you are ready for what's destined to be yours, it won't happen. That's why I love the dynamic between Aria and Lucas.
