A few days later I actually felt somewhat okay after chemo. I didn't feel like I was gonna die.

"How you feeling, love?" Lando said once we got back home and he put me in bed

"actually slightly more decent... I don't feel as weak... obviously I still feel weak as fuck but not extremely weak as fuck... it's like I have a little bit of strength now... maybe I won't die..."

"That's great news, Lexi. Maybe you're building up some resistance or something"

"maybe I am... I'm not gonna jinx anything though... I know what my luck is like"

"You're right. Don't jinx it" he said. Things just got better after that. Another chemo session and I felt even better. I was actually able to get out of bed and move around a bit. I even managed to walk downstairs and around the house after a few more days. Lando was watching TV on the couch before seeing me walk around with a smile on my face. "Holy shit, Lexi! You're walking down the stairs!!"

"i am!!! I'm actually walking around the house!!! I'm getting my strength back!!!" I said. Lando came over to support me slightly. It was almost like I was learning to walk again so I was a bit wobbly.

"You're amazing, Lexi. Keep taking it slow, okay?"

"you worry so much about me. it's cute" I said as I booped his nose with my finger

"Well, you know I care about you. Now let's get you back upstairs and rest"

"Fine" I said. Finally... March 16th... I had been battling against Leukaemia since 9th January and I was finally able to ring the bell... I couldn't believe it. Even the doctors couldn't believe how fast I beat it. It was insane. It felt so good knowing that I wouldn't have to have chemo again. Lando wrapped his arms around me and held me close

"You've done it, baby. You've kicked cancer's ass"

"I did it... I fucking did it..."

"Yes, you did. You're a fucking warrior, Lexi. And I'm so incredibly proud of you. We did it together, remember?"

"yeah... you get to keep hold of me even longer... I'm not dying yet, baby..."

"I'm not letting you go anywhere, sweetheart. Not now, not ever"

"I can't believe I'm finally cancer-free..."

"You've earned it, Lexi. You've fought so hard, and now you can finally enjoy your life without this horrible disease"

"now my hair can finally start growing back..."

"You're gonna have the most beautiful hair in town" he said. Things got even better a week after. I literally screamed from the bathroom. I didn't expect it so soon... Lando came running into the bathroom. "Baby, what's wrong? Did you see something?"

"Look at my head!! it's growing back already!!!!"

"Oh, Lexi. It's growing back! I'm so proud of you" he said as he wrapped his arms around me.

"I'm finally gonna get my hair back... i know it's only a little bit and it's like not even buzz cut level yet but it's still hair growing back!!!!"

"I can't wait to see it grow out even more. You'll be rocking the best hairstyle around"

"I can't believe it's finally growing..."

"I'm glad you're starting to feel better about it too. It's going to be amazing watching your hair grow back, Lexi"
