Disneyland was the best thing ever. We spent so much money, went on so many rides, got to see Liliana happier than ever and we got to see ourselves happier than ever in front of the fireworks with our Disney ears on. That wasn't the best thing though. The best thing was when we got home. My wedding dress still fitted perfectly. I walked out to Lando in the garden and he was in his suit too. We both looked just like how we did on our wedding day except for the fact that we were 40 now.
"Hey, baby..." I said as I held his hands
"Hey, beautiful. Ready to do this?"
"yeah... let's renew these vows"
"Absolutely. I love you, Lexi. Today and every day"
"I love you more... so, who's going first then?"
"I will. Lexi, I promise to love you forever. I promise to cherish you, support you, and make every day of our lives together special. You are my soulmate, my best friend, and the love of my life"
"and you promise never to cheat on me again?"
"Yes, I promise never to cheat on you again. I love you too much for that"
"Good" I said before taking a deep breath. "Lan, I promise that I'll forever stay by your side. forever stay with you. I promise that we'll both continue to love our beautiful daughter, Liliana, until we both leave this world. I promise that we'll hold each other close until our last breaths and I promise that I'll forever love you"
"Thank you, Lexi. Your love means more to me than anything else in the world"
"same here, baby. you're the only one who's ever shown me what love really is... you have done since we were kids..."
"And I promise to continue showing you what true love is until my last breath"
"I love you so much..."
"I love you more, Lexi. Always and forever" he said before pressing his lips onto mine. It was even better that we renewed our vows under the stars. The big and bright stars.
"I guess the stars did have a plan for us"
"Yes, they did. And I'm grateful for every twist and turn that brought us back to each other. Our love is truly meant to be"
