Coruscant:

The Jedi high council were in their chambers as the temple sat untouched by the fierce fighting outside. They had been brought back to the temple by their individual clone Battalions due to what the clones claimed was an attack on the temple, and as such, the Jedi order itself was in danger, thus, every Jedi off-world came scurrying back to the temple, only to see that no attack had occured, but when they tried to leave to find out more, the clones had prevented that from happening and had essentially put every single Jedi, on house arrest within the temple, with no communication going in or out of it. The Temple had been completely locked down.

It seemed as if the droids had orders to leave it alone for some reason. Naturally, this made many of the council members, and Jedi all together, highly suspicious. They would've intervened, but the clones had guarded every single exit and entrance to the temple, claiming "safety" was the reason, and no one could do anything about it, because if a Jedi was seen forcing their way through the clone blockade, then one of two options would happen. Either the clones would see this as a traitorous act and storm the temple, or, the public would see the Jedi as going against the will of the Republic, which was currently under heavy fire and advancing droid units, so it would then seem that the Jedi were in league with the Separatists, which of course, they were not. Rather helplessly, the Jedi were forced to sit back and watch as the Republic crumbled around them under the heavy weight of the mounting Separatist attack.

Yoda: Clouded, the force is. The Dark side, blinding it is.

Windu: We cannot just sit here and wait for the battle to be over!

Yoda: Agree I do, but the clones, guard the temple, they are. Prisoners, we are. Act, we cannot.

Mundi: As much as I hate to say it, I agree with Master Yoda, though not out of disrespect, but simply because we cannot defend the Republic due to the consequences it would have on the order.

Plo: This was a trap. The clones were used to lure us back here and keep us trapped in the temple by any means necessary. What confuses me, is why.

Deppa: We are helpless.

Yoda: (Solemnly) Yes. Made to watch the Republic fall, we are. For what reason, I know not.

The council sat in their seats as they could do simply nothing, but watch as everything came apart around them. The Republic, that they had fought for, was being destroyed all around them, and there was simply nothing they could do. The clones had suddenly turned on them, and barricaded them inside the temple, clearly not afraid to use lethal force to keep them inside the temple by whatever means necessary. The reason why was very unclear. Why would the clones suddenly do this? Why would the loyal men they had served alongside, suddenly abandon their own individual battles, JUST to bring back and imprison the Jedi inside the temple? It didn't make sense.

Just then, a hologram appeared in front of them. And who should appear, but the man behind the very attack that was happening. Darth Mordain. Though he wasn't dressed in his usual attire, but rather, the attire of Revan.

Mordain: (Smirking) And how the mighty Jedi fall.

Windu: (Growls) What do you want Mordain.

Mordain: I warned you all, of the consequences you would face should you stay with the Republic. I warned you of its corruption and neglect. Yet it seems my words fell on deaf ears. And now, you shall answer for your crimes against freedom. You have no place...in my new empire.

And with that, Mordain's image flickered away, leaving the council confused and suspicious. Just then, the sound of matching could be heard from all around the temple. Looking out, every single Jedi council member's face went from confused, to full of fear. Clones and droids alike, were marching on the Jedi temple. Blasters in hand, they saw every kind of droid they'd seen across many battles during the clone wars. Yet, there were some they didn't recognise. But one thing that they all noticed, were the four individuals leading the charge.
