Just a fair warning, there are some major differences here, so bare with me.

Mandalore:

Darth Mordain sat with his anger raging deeply. This "meeting" between the Separatists and the Republic were about negotiations and peace. Of course, the Sith Lord had no intention on peace, since he needed the war to drag on for as long as possible in order for his plans to come to fruition, and he was sure that Sidious had been trying to play the manipulation game by setting up this meeting.

As he sat, he watched as Drina stood behind him as his apprentice, and his personal bodyguard, not that he needed it, along with his best commando droids. He didn't trust Magna guards since they were yet to be re-programmed, so for now, he'd entrust his "safety" to the commando droids.

Sitting in the middle of his Senate delegates, across from the Republic delegates, he was sorely regretting Plagueis' offer to go instead of him, obviously disguised as a Separatist senator. However, there was one upside to this. Ahsoka was there, and they both smiled at eachother subtly, both reciprocating their feelings still.

Padme: The Republic recognises the tragedy of war, but there is nothing that we can change that had already occurred.

Separatist Senator 1: Say it aloud before this gathering, as representative for Chancellor Palpatine, that you declare, without reservation, the Separatist state legitimate.

The Separatist senator told Padme, who looked down, and said absolutely nothing. Mordain smirked, now it was his time to speak up. Leaning forward, he spoke with utmost authority and dominance.

Mordain: Exactly, you can't. Or should I say, you won't. You refuse to accept us as legitimate, and despite your so-called "morals", senator Amidala, you refuse to see the whole reason we left the Republic in the first place, because it was failing and neglecting, US. The Separatist movement would not have happened, should the Republic have actually taken notice of the damage, it was doing to us.

Of course that last part was a lie, since Sidious was going to get the Separatists up and running anyway, but he couldn't exactly say that aloud now could he?

Mordain: As such, I have invited a personal friend of mine, to say a few words.

He smirked as everyone looked at him confused. Just then, the doors opened, and Lux Bonteri walked in, nodding both in a professional and friendly way to Mordain, whilst giving Ahsoka a look, which he very clearly didn't reciprocate.

Lux: I have something to say about the legitimacy of the Separatists.

He walked up and bowed to Satine Kryze, the duchess of Mandalore, who nodded, intrigued as to where this was going.

Lux: I stand before you, son of Mina Bonteri, loyal Separatist, a patriot, a friend. It has come to my attention, and the attention of our leader, Count Mordain, that my mother, who lays in a Coma on Raxus, was the victim of an assassination attempt. The assassin, was aided by one of the very Separatist senators that stand here before you now.

Mordain grinned. Ever since Mina was attacked and put into a coma, which she was healing from but still hadn't woken up from, he and Lux had been working together on occasion to find out how the would-be assassin, got onto Raxus, and what would you know, one of the very three Separatist senators here was responsible for snuggling him onto Raxus. Of course Mordain had promised Lux blood, but when they looked into it, the trail led all the way back to a very familiar face, one that Mordain had pummeled frequently. Nute Gunray.
