Jedi Temple, Coruscant:
Anakin Skywalker, secretly Sith Lord Darth Vader, was trudging around the Jedi temple with his head in a mess. Whilst he knew that Ahsoka's leaving wouldn't affect their relationship or him as much as it did the others, it would still hurt him. This was due to the fact that he now had to deal with the fact that he wasn't able to see her often, and that since she'd left, there was no one really around the temple to ground him and his mind. Well...other than one person.
As he entered his quarters, the "Chosen one", sat on his bed and thought about the events of the last few days. The bombing, Ahsoka being framed, her trial, her expulsion from the order, and then her leaving. Whilst he still understood why she did it, he couldn't help but feel that little more isolated and alone in the temple.
Ahsoka kept his head level whilst they were spying on the Jedi, and now that she was gone, his head was a complete mess.
As he sat there, head in hands, a soft, calm, soothing, accented voice spoke up, one that could not have come at a better time.
Aayla: Anakin?
Anakin: (Looks up and smiles a little) Hey Aayla.
Aayla: I know that the situation for us is...different but Ahsoka leaving still affects you, I can tell.
The beautiful, blue Twi'lek said as she came and sat down next to him on his bed. As Anakin looked at her, he found himself admiring her toned abs, her gorgeous eyes, and her Lekku, which he remembered felt like velvet under his finger tips.
Anakin: Thanks for being here blue star. You're right, even though it's different for us, I still can't help but feel like I could've done more. Used the dark side like we were trained to do in these situations.
Aayla smiled softly and took Anakin's hand in hers. Even during their short-lived relationship, she knew all the tricks and tips to calming him down when he was like this. Unlike Anakin and Padme, who were at odds most of the time with their views, both Anakin and Aayla were the same. They were both passionate about certain things, they cared deeply for those who meant a lot to them, and since their turn to the dark side, they both had taken off the restraints on their emotions. Unlike his wife, Anakin knew he had chemistry with Aayla.
As she sat there, stroking his hand in a calming way, Aayla couldn't help but feel the same sparks that she once felt whenever Anakin brushed his hand across her hip. The feeling of intimacy between the pair was intoxicating, undeniable, yet she didn't want to push the man she...loved? Was that the right word?
As she thought about all the times and "moments" she shared with Anakin, she became more and more sure. Yes, "loved" was the word she wanted to acknowledge this situation as. She did indeed love both Anakin Skywalker, and Lord Vader.
Anakin on the other hand, sat there and felt the Twi'lek send waves of comfort and strength towards him, which he eagerly and tenderly reciprocated.
Aayla: (Smiling) You always were so calm around me. Ani.
Anakin was taken aback, she'd not called him Ani in a long time, and the only person who did anymore was Padme, yet, when she said it, there was little happiness from him and more of acceptance, as if it was just another thing she said. But when Aayla said it, he felt his heart beat quicken and his emotions skyrocket.
