Serreno:

Darth Mordain stood with Darth Plagueis at the Holo-table inside Mordain's throne room inside his castle. Drina, or Darth Viruss as she was known to the Republic, would have been there, but she was accompanying Ventress and Greivous on a mission in the outer rim that had something to do with Hoth. Apparently the Republic fleet had been spotted out there, and thus, all three of them had been sent to investigate, though if Mordain needed Drina, Ventress, OR Greivous back, they'd be there.

As the two Sith Lords looked at the hologram of the war efforts, such as where the CIS had the most territory, and where the battles were raging, Mordain smirked. He could sense exactly who he'd been waiting for. And from the look on the elder Muun's face, he'd sensed them as well.

Plagueis: It seems our guests have arrived.

Mordain: Indeed my grand master. But I do not sense mere bounty hunters, oh no, I sense something more. A Jedi, perhaps.

Plagueis: I sense a Jedi as well. What would a Jedi be doing here? With bounty hunters no less?

Mordain: (Smirking) It seems we have uncovered our mole my friend. The Jedi have made their move, and thus, we must make ours.

Plagueis: (Crossing his arms) I still do not see the benefit in purposely failing a kidnapping of Sidious.

Mordain: Ah, but that's the the genius of it Lord Plagueis. You see, our goal is not to successfully kidnap Sidious, oh no, our plan, is to merely insert ourselves into a position where we can...make some changes that would benefit us.

Plagueis: (Raising an eyebrow) Elaborate my grand apprentice.

Mordain: Thanks to the efforts of Lady Odinis, I have been alerted and informed, of an assassination of Master Obi-Wan Kenobi. But here's the rub, I do not sense his death. In fact, his force signature is still as active as ever. So, the whole assassination, was part of the council's plan to prevent the kidnapping, or in other words, a ploy.

Plagueis: (Smirking) The council faked the death of one of their own? What shameful actions. I'm almost proud of the darkness that had to be weaved into that plan.

Mordain: Indeed Plagueis. But you see, they purposely kept Skywalker out of the loop and allowed him to think his best friend and Mentor was dead. They played on his emotions.

Plagueis: (Intrigued) Go on...

Mordain: Thus, I see an opportunity to turn him to our side before Sidious can get to him. This whole plan is not about kidnapping the chancellor, no. This, is about gaining Skywalker as a Sith Lord. His talents and emotions are wasted with the Jedi, who are not what they once were. When Skywalker finds that his master is still alive, he will become angry, and more disillusioned with the Jedi order and the council than he already is, and when he is eventually left alone, we strike. Do you see where I am going with this Lord Plagueis?

Plagueis nodded proudly, he definitely admired the young man's talents in planning and being exceptionally crafty, as well as being immensely intelligent in carefully constructing plans. This, was simply genius. Purposely fail the kidnapping of the chancellor, lure the angry Skywalker into a secluded area, and then prey on his disillusionment with the Jedi order and the council, thus, putting Skywalker, and possibly his Padawan, right where they belong. In the order of Bane. Simply. Genius.

However, both Sith soon felt the ship carrying the undercover Jedi and bounty hunters, approaching the castle, making both stand up straight.

Plagueis: Shall we go and greet our guests properly?
