Now, before we begin, I'd like to say something. Since Mina didn't die, and Mordain is who he is, the whole Onderon arc didn't happen, and since the Separatists weren't involved in the droid arcs, the younglings arc (Greivous never attacked in this story) and the Death Watch arc, I've had to skip a fair few episodes, but do not fear! This chapter and the ones in the future will make up for it :)

Also I did make up some things for the sake of the story :)

Hint: Mordain meets Maul...

Now, on with the chapter!!

Serreno:

Mordain was in his throne room. The war was going well, and Mina had recently woken up and returned to Onderon to assist her son Lux in making sure the planet didn't fall into disarray. Of course, she'd had to tell Lux about her and Hugo, and from what Mordain heard, it went alright, with the kid actually accepting the fact that his mother had someone else in her life besides him, and he was happy for her.

As he sat there doing paperwork, Plagueis appeared, standing next to his grand apprentice.

Plagueis: Tell me Lord Mordain, does the dark side feel...strange to you?

Mordain stopped and put down his pen. He'd been waiting for Plagueis to pick up on this. For the last few weeks, the dark side had been curling around him like it was trying to talk to him, warn him of something, yet he couldn't sense what.

Mordain: Yes. It has. What do you sense Plagueis?

Plagueis: I sense a plot of deception. I feel a familiar dark side presence having been reinvigorated. A Sith long thought to be dead has awoken.

Mordain: Or the Sith was never truly dead in the first place.

Mordain said in a low, ice-cold tone. After Plagueis explained what he felt, Mordain pieced two and two together. Sidious' first apprentice had been long thought to be dead, having been defeated on Naboo and left to die. Plagueis was still alive at that point, but was killed soon after. Mordain had done thorough research on this first apprentice, and when he searched the dark side for his presence, he found nothing. Yet now, he knew for a fact that he was alive, that he had returned. Darth Maul...was still alive, and this, could pose a problem...

Death Watch camp, Concordia:

Darth Maul and his brother, Savage Opress, stood with the Mandalorian terrorist group known as Death Watch around a holo-table. Ever since he and his brother had been discovered by the Mandalorians, who were now led by the late Pre Vizsla's brother, Jerr Vizsla, he had lied, manipulated, and threatened his way into their ranks. Jerr Vizsla had been bitter about his elder brothers death, and was arguably just as much as a warrior and leader as he was, so when he saw a chance to conquer Mandalore in honour of his brother, he took it.

Maul, Savage, and Death Watch had gone around the galaxy and assembled an army of crime syndicates, in order to help takeover Mandalore, with Maul's plan leading them. Standing at the Holo-table, the two Zabrak brothers watched as Jerr went over the plan that would result in them becoming the ruler of Mandalore. Despite not having the Darksabre, Death Watch accepted him as their leader due to the fact he was Pre Vizsla's brother and had blood relation to him, but that didn't mean he couldn't be challenged for his position, and Maul knew that.

Maul: Where are my targets?

Jerr: We've identified them at these locations.

The younger Vizsla said as red dots appeared on a detailed holo-map of Sundari, Mandalore's capital.
