Saturday. December 28, 2024.

Yoongi and Hoseok have been chilling in their room. Since they have to drive back home tomorrow, everyone was just hanging out.

Namjoon and his parents are throwing a New Year's party again and invited all of the boys parents, and the other boy's siblings as well. Everyone is excited about the the party and can't wait to watch the fireworks. Hoseok and Yoongi plan to relive the moment of their first New Year together.

"Do you think this hat would look good on me?" Hoseok shows a picture to Yoongi and Yoongi looks at it for a bit longer. "Well, my opinion is biased because I think you look good in everything. But yes, I do." Hoseok smiles and kisses the older boy on the cheek.

"I want to dress differently. I feel like nerdy side of me is slowly dissolving." Yoongi looks down at Hoseok. "What do you mean?" "Like, I used to love playing my PC games but after like 45 minutes, I'm bored and want to do something else. I don't even remember the last time I touched my trading cards. I don't have a desire to play with them anymore." Yoongi nods, understanding.

"I get like that. Most of the time I'm listening to music but sometimes I feel like I have heard all of the songs I know so I get bored with it." Yoongi explains.

"I want to try different things. Like dancing." Yoongi raises an eyebrow, "Dancing? I thought that was just a prom and karaoke thing for you." Hoseok shakes his head. "I love dancing. Sometimes when I'm home by myself, I turn on music and try to learn the choreography."

Yoongi smiles at the thought of his Hoseok dancing through his house with a smile on his face.

"It's not funny." Hoseok whines. "I'm not laughing at you baby. I find it cute that you do that. When do I get my own personal dance?" Yoongi smiles, resting his hands above his head. Hoseok scoffs with a laugh and stand up from the bed. "Dream on. I'm going to use the restroom." Yoongi laughs with a nod.

At the same time Hoseok opens the door, he sees Jiwoo raising her hand to knock on the door. "Oh hey." She smiles. "Hey. I'm about to go to the bathroom but you can wait for me until I get back."

"Oh, I actually came here to talk to Yoongi." Yoongi sits up and nods his head, telling her to come in. Hoseok leaves the two by themselves.

"What's up?" Yoongi says as Jiwoo sits on the bed a little. "Not to dump on you or anything but, do you think I am a good guardian?" Yoongi immediately nods his head. "I think you are the perfect guardian. I don't know one 18 year old that would step up to being basically a parent. I think what you did takes courage and a lot of self improvement going forward."

Jiwoo smiles at her brother's boyfriend. "I'm glad to call you my future brother in law." Yoongi laughs along with Jiwoo.

"I'm glad you could bring some happiness into my sunshines life. Out of everyone I know, he deserves to be happy the most." Jiwoo says, rubbing her knees. "I agree. Which is why you can trust me with him. I damn near beat up two people just to secure his safety in school. Sorry I had to beat up your best friend's brother by the way."

Jiwoo laughs a little. "Don't worry about it. We aren't friends anymore after I figured that out." Yoongi nods. "I promise to take care of him. Even when you both are thousands of miles away." Jiwoo looks down at the floor.

"I don't know. I recently have been rethinking the whole situation. I mean, we got the closure we needed with our father situation," Jiwoo rolls her eyes with a huff, insinuating how annoying the whole situation was. Yoongi laughs a little. "Hoseok has you and 5 other amazing friends, I'm starting to like your brother more, and I'm enjoying being apart of your family. Being apart of any family really."

Jiwoo looks at Yoongi in the eyes. "Everything we have is in Korea. Why would I want to take everything away to a place where we would have nothing?" Yoongi sighs. "You need to talk to Hoseok." She nods. "I know." She whines a little and then sighs. "I know. I haven't been communicating with him really good recently."

"Like how?" Jiwoo shrugs. "I have been so behind on rent these past fee months. I'm working day and night. The only reason I chose to come is because of how much PTO I have built up. I only get paid so much twice a week at a daycare and basically living off of tips with being a waiter. My whole point of not communicating is because he's a kid still. I don't want him to have to grow up too soon the way I did."

Yoongi sighs a little. "How behind are you?" "Just a couple hundred. And I get paid soon before rent is due so I will be okay this month." Yoongi nods.

He opens his mouth to say something but Hoseok walks through the door. "Sorry, poppa asked for my help with dinner a little. Am I intruding?" Hoseok asked and both Yoongi and Jiwoo both shake their heads. "Nope! I actually told Geumjae I would go on a quick horseback ride with him before dinner so I should be going to do that. Sounds like dinner is already cooking. But I will see you guys at dinner."

Hoseok smiles at Jiwoo with a nod. "Have fun!" He says with a wave. She giggles and shyly shuffles out of the room.

Hoseok sits on the bed and smiles at Yoongi. "Is everything okay?" He asked and Yoongi nods. "Nothing you need to worry about right now." Gigi is honest with Hobi 100% of the time. Hoseok has never had a reason to not trust Yoongi.

"Is Jiwoo okay?" Yoongi nods. "She is fine and so is everything else." Yoongi grabs the boy's hand and pulls Hobi back down to the bed and wraps his arms around him. "It is nothing to worry about. I think if we take a quick before dinner nap you will feel better and forget all about it." Yoongi says and at the same time, Hoseok yawns a little and nods his head.

"Okay." He mumbles. "Sleep well my love." Yoongi kisses Hoseok on the forehead before turning the bedside lamp off.
