31: Any Day Mission

Six more months pass with me taking missions with Shisui or old classmates, and dividing my time between The Leaf Village and the Senju Village.

"Yuki!" I look behind me as Simi runs up to me.

"We have a mission, and you're coming with us! Did you hear about it already?" She grabs my arm as she reminds me that we've never done a mission together.

"What are you doing now?" She asks as we walk into a shop.

"Buying supplies for the mission." She smiles at me as I pay for the ramen bowls.

"I'll meet you and your team later at the rendezvous point," she nods and tells me it's  the seating area that hangs off the side of the building near the Academy. I nod before teleporting away.

I quickly seal away my supplies before making my way to the Hokage Rock. "You packing up to leave on a mission?" I look back to see Kakashi walking up to me.

"Yeah settling a dispute in a village by the northern side of the border." I turn and watch the clouds blow across the sky.

"I should get going. See you around Kakashi." I teleport to the meet up point and wait for the others, Sensei Kumi arrives first, Simi follows a few minutes later, Ryo and Inori arrive last.

"Alright you guys lets get going," We nod and take off to the mission location.

"Remember stick together and be observant and don't let your guard down." They nod as I follow at the rear, marking the ground every once in a while.

"Remember our job is to protect the village from the neighboring village that is trying to take control. We have to find a way to stop them from taking the village for themselves." Sensei Kumi reminds us.

We arrive to the village the next afternoon, we walk into the head of the villages office building. "Hi we're the ninja's from the Leaf Village," the woman at the front looks at up puzzled.

"What are you talking about? The Leaf Ninja's arrived thirty minutes ago?" She asks.

"Yuki?" Sensei Kumi calls to me and I bolt out the door.

"Three chakra natures that differ from the villagers are this way," the chakra signature leads us to the store houses.

One of the ninja's was pulling out a tanto blade getting ready to stab the Village Head, "pull," I pull all three ninja's back as Kumi Sensei pulls out a robe and ties them together.

"What where you three planning?" Kumi Sensei asks them as she walks around to look them in the eye.

They glare at her, "I can tell you, but when I find out what it is, they'll die." I comment as I walk up to Kumi sensei.

They look at me terrified and Kumi Sensei looks at me, "okay." She allows me.

I walk up to them, "wait. Wait! Wait!" I stop as they start squirming, "We-" the other girl elbows her, "shut up Kimimono!" Simi walks up to them and yanks off the Leaf headbands, "you are not a Leaf Ninja!"

"Who hired you?" They glare at us.

"Inori search their memories, since you won't kill them in doing so." Inori nods and lays her hand on the boys head.

"The rival village hired them to attack the Village header so they could weaken the village and absorb them to their own."

"Why?" Kumi Sensei asks her as Inori's eye's move under her eye lids.

"They want the river. It connects to a large city where they get most of their goods and sell their harvest. If they control this village, they control the trade. They get the financial benefits among other things."

Inori let's the boy's head go as she opens her eye's, "they plan on attacking again tonight." Before the three can yell Kumi Sensei knocks them out.

"Let's create an ambush," Kumi sensei comments as she looks at the three knocked out in the rope, I pull out a scroll and seal them away.

"Can I go on to the other village and see what's going on over there?" Kumi Sensei looks at me before sighing and nodding.

"Take Ryo with you." I nod at Kumi Sensei.

I look at Ryo and he smiles at me, "take the scenic route. Avoid interaction at all cost." We nod and take off.

"Do you know where we're going?" Ryo asks.

"I'm following the chakra signatures, there's a largely sum of people past the hills up ahead."

We make our way to the hills and look down at the river, "this connects to the main stream that's leads right to the vilage." I nod.

"Access to the large open stream is their main source for recieving and distributing good."

"Their limited space of river is why they want to control the village we were hired by." I look over to the village.

"There's a few more ninja's that don't have similar chakra's as the others." I say as we get closer to the top.

We kneel down and lay at the top, the village was fortify their perimeter. "They're planning something big." I nod and we crawl back down before making our way back to the village.

We make our way to Kumi Sensei, "what did you two find?" We tell her about the defenses they where building along with the large, long range crossbows.

"What do we do?" Simi asks as she and the Village Head come up to us.

I look around the village, "what is it?" Kumi sensei asks me.

"I can create a barrier to protect the village." I tell her as I Kumi nods and tells us her plan for the defense.

I sigh as I extend the Adamentine Chains and surround the whole village, "incoming!" I raise my hand and send the arrows back as the barrier closes in. I stand inside the barrier as Kumi Sensei and the others stay outside the barrier.

"How are we suppose to attack back?" I look at the Village Leader.

"You're not. Kumi Sensei will take care of it. Chances are she'll find a way to stop them."

The Village Leader grabs my arm and turns to face me, "And if they don't stop? Are you going to just stand here for the rest of time?"

"No, she'll find a solution." I say as I close my eyes and try to sense what's going on.

"Yuki we need your help with something." Kumi sensei rushes above the barrier and looks down on me, "I can't leave with you but you can take a clone." She nods and my clone goes with Kumi Sensei.

An hour later Kumi Sensei tells me I can lower the barrier for they've come to an agreement. My clone created a bigger connect to the main stream since all the small streams weren't big enough for boats to carry in supplies.

"Does that mean we completed our mission?" I look at Kumi Sensei.

"Our mission was to protect this village." Kumi sensei looks at me.

"Yes we did." The Village Head thanks us before offering us to stay the night to rest and leave in the morning.
