26: Stop

I slip out of Koga memories as he goes limp, his soul is taken by the King of Death.

"You can't stop Yuki!" I look at Shisui.

"He's gone, Shisui, he's gone." I wipe the tears before pulling out a scroll and sealing Koga's body away.

I silently help Shisui bring down the ninjas.

Someone screams, I turn behind me and I see ninjas got past us, "they're going for the villagers. Damn it I won't get there in time." I curse myself for not marking the village.

"Scorch Style: Extreme Murder." I create multiple scorching balls of gas and fire and throw it at them, none of them could dodge.

"I should mark places ahead of time," I quickly seal away the mummified bodies before creating a barrier around the villagers shelter.

I return and finish off the last of the ninjas. "That's it, that's all of them." I nod and I let the villagers know they're safe.

They thank us before crying about their broken home, "at least we have our lives to repair the damages," an elder man says to the young man that was complaining.

I walk off and sit on a rock by the feilds, "Yuki you alright?" Shisui is walking up to me and he looked exhausted.

"Koga's dead. So Eiji, I left it," Shisui grabs my hands.

"I know. I'm sorry," I squeeze his hand back.

"I'm so sorry Shisui. I know he was your best friend." I lean against him.

"War is terrible," he breathes and my laugh quickly dies as the tears fall

"They're all dead and it's just me now," it's always just me.

Shisui squeezes my hands, "no it's not, Minato and Kushina are alive and so am I. Your friends are alive too, you're not alone Yuki." He leans his head against mine.

"You're not alone either Shisui, I will be here for you. I don't know if I'll ever be a good stand for Koga but I'll do my best to be there for you always."

Shisui squeezes my hand, "thanks Yuki."

We return to the small village and help repair it as we wait for further instructions.

A week later the Tsuchikage signs the peace agreement and we were finally allowed to go home.
