28: Day's of Peace

Eight months pass and I've spend most of my time training and going on missions with different teams. Spending the night at Kakashi's has also become routine, I'm sure Kushina and Minato have noticed my absences at night but don't bring it up.

I make my way to the training grounds looking for Shisui since him and I have a mission, it's an S rank mission and I was told I would need some Anbu assistance so I took the liberty of asking Shisui since him and I work well together.

"Shisui if you're done performing for your fan club we can go?" He turns to look at me and smiles.

"I was waiting for you." I nod and start walking away.

"Hey, by the way, tell Minato I said congratulations, I heard he's becoming the fourth Hokage." I nod and tell him Lord Third picked Minato personally to take over for him.

He looks at me, "would you ever become Hokage?" I look at him.

"And take responsibility for that many people. Not a chance in hell. You?" He looks at the Kunai in his hands, "a true shinobi is one who protects peace from the shadows. I don't need recognition for my actions." I look at him.

"Only you would say that," He smiles as we head to the Hokage's office.

Once Lord Third gives us our official orders, Shisui goes change into his Anbu gear and I stock up on supplies before meeting at the gate and taking off. 

"So you're planning on taking your Jounin exams?" I nod.

"Minato said now is a good time. So I'm signed up for the next up coming exam."

"Good luck." I tell him I don't need it, he just smiles at my cocky attitude and changes the subject.

"Are you sure we can get to Mist ninja's hideouts?" I nod.

"Once we're a bit closer I can teleport us to old set up." I teleport us to kunai's in the direction of the mist ninja's location.

I stop once we were a few miles from the old war camp, "what's wrong?" 

"Dai-sensei and his team are in that direction, so are the Seven Swordsmen from the Mist." Shisui follows my eyes.

"Then let's go." I nod and we take off. We come across Dai-sensei's team first, the boy in a green jumpsuit and orange leg warmers was bleeding from his shoulder.

"Go on ahead, I'll catch up," I don't bother looking at the torn expression on Shisui as I heal, the jumpsuit boy.

Shisui nods and rushes off, "my clone is going to get you guys to the nearest safe sport." I create a clone before I teleport to Shisui.

"Push!" I throw the hair needles back as I land next to Shisui, "nice timing."

Three of the six swordsmen bodies laid not far from Dai-sensei body. "I thought I killed the man with the hammer and ax," I mutter as I walk over to Dai-sensei and seal him away, the man with dark green hair walks forward and points his sword to the sky.

"Lightning rod!" The small clearing fills with lightning as I grab Shisui's arm, I raise my left arm and absorb as much of the jutsu as I could.

"All mighty push!" I teleport us a few miles away.

"We go after them?" Shisui gets up as I fall to my knees.

"They're gone, I can't sense them anymore." 

"Yuki!" I hold onto my badly wounded left arm.

"What happened?" I try overlooking the pain.

"The only way to use my repulsive jutsu was to stop my absorption jutsu. I can't use my eyes and teleport, I haven't quite worked on the multi-tasking like that." I say as I start healing myself.

"Are we safe?" I look around before nodding.

"The students' of Dai-sensei aren't far from here." We decide to join up with them before searching the area for any more Mist ninjas.

"Did you find where my Dai-Sensei was fighting?" The boy in the green jumpsuit rushes over to us.

"I'm sorry Gai, your father died fighting the Seven words men, though he took out three of them before he died." Shisui squeezes his shoulder as I raise the scroll.

"I brought his body with us. Out of respect, I couldn't just leave him there." Gai looks at me and takes the scroll before thanking me.

"I'll unseal him once we get to the Leaf." Gai and his teammates join us as we search the place for anymore Mist ninja's once its cleared we return to the Leaf.
