33: Family Moments

Me staying with my dad and his family becomes more and more comfortable that I visit the Leaf less and less.

"Ritsku! You wanna go to the waterfall today? Dad and uncle want to have a bonfire with the family." Shiori rushes up to me as I get to the front door. I tell her yes I wanna go.

"Come on then," she rushes me.

"Hold on let me just get my bathing suit." I rush inside to put the groceries away, ever since my dad started working in town at a small restaurant, I've been keeping the fridge stocked with the money he leaves for me on the table.

He makes breakfast, and I make dinner. We eat lunch together at the restaurant he works at.

I was half way up the stairs when I feel Kakashi's chakra.

"Kakashi what are you doing here?!" I walk outside, he was standing a few yards from the front door.

"Yuki I came because I wanted to know what you were doing here?" I look at him puzzled.

"Living with my dad."

"I thought you said you were visiting your dad's village. Besides your home is the Leaf Village and even though they don't say it to me Minato and Kushina miss you." I look at him as I walk up to him.

"I miss them too, but I can't just leave whenever anymore." I say to him.

"Why not you belong in the Leaf." Shiori walks up to us.

"No she belongs here, with her family." Shiori speaks up for me.

"Her family is at the Leaf." Shiori glares at Kakashi.

"She is home." Kakashi ignores her as she looks at us.

"Come home Yuki." He disappears and I stare at the space Kakashi had taken moments ago.

"I'm going to get my bathing suit Shiori," she nods and I take off upstairs.

I change before rushing outside, "let's go." He nods and we take off.

A few hours into jumping off the water fall into the large pool of water below. "Shiori! Saya! Ritsku foods ready!" I grab my towel as I dry off.

"Ritsku can we talk?" I look at my dad as he walks up to me.

I nod as we wake over to the water and sit down. "Why do your friends call you Yuki?" I look at my plate.

"That's the name I told them I was called. Yukimaru died protecting me. So I took his name and made it my own. In honor of him. Just like I took the last name Uzumaki for the same reason. I was starting a new life at the Leaf Village so I took a new name as a memento."

He looks at me, "I am an Uzumaki too Dad, and Kushina is the last of the Uzumaki clan like me, so she is my family. I'm going to go visit her this weekend." He nods and I put down my plate,

"I'm proud of you sweetheart," he smiles at me before returning to tend to the bon fire.

That weekend I stay with Kushina and Minato. "I'm so happy to see you Yuki." She hugs me and I smile.

"I told you I wanted to help with the nursery." She nods and Minato brings home samples for the nursery.

We spend well into the evening planning the nursery. "Don't worry Kushina we'll start tomorrow."

Kushina pets her very large stomach with a soft smile on her lips, "you sit Kushina, Minato and I will cook lunch and dinner too. You just relax."

"Let's get started Yuki." I nod and we cover the floor with plastic before beginning to paint the walls.

It was almost lunch time when we stop working and decide to make lunch.

"You guys know I can do that right?" We nod.

"Yes but we're just helping. Besides Minato and I like cooking." I say as I point to Minato's pink apron.

"Can't you tell?" She smiles amusingly at me.

I spend the next month taking missions to stay in the Leaf for as long as possible only returning to my dad house on weekends, I was determined to be here for Kushina the day she gave birth.

"Returning to the Senju Village?" Minato asks me and I nod.

"Yeah I'll be back Monday I told Kushina we can do some more baby shopping."

He smiles, "we've missed having you around Yuki."

"I've missed being home. I'll stay with this routine for a while to help you and Kushina with your son. You need sleep, you're the Hokage after all." He thanks me and I teleport back to my room at my dad's house, I quickly shower and head to bed.
