Seven

I sit beside Shisui as he explains to me how his best friend was lost during a battle. The sadness in his eyes reminds me of my own.

"I am sorry you had to be put in that situation. You had a human reaction that caused a great loss," I sit with him as he sits in his pain.

"What has happened can't be changed you must work on how to keep it from ever happening again," I respond after a few moments of silence.

"I would like a chance to work on my new eyes. Would you help me, Yuki?" I nod and tell him I'll help him where I can.

We don't train but at sundown, I walk Shisui home before returning to Minatos for dinner and a restless night. As the days of me entering war approaches the desire to sleep or focus on anything else lessons.

After a few hours of sleeping, I went back out and began training again. I wanted to get my eyes trained properly. With the combination of my old and new abilities, I wanted to be able to have a handle on using my eyes the best way possible.

Over the last few months, the people here have brought me solace indeed. They have helped me see past my suffering. I will destroy those who wish to ruin what I have left.

Shisui and I don't do much training after he arrives when the sun rises. He mainly watches me try to use my brother's chakra spheres to get a Genjutsu within one sphere and my chains in another.

He stays to train alone and I return as Kushina is getting in. She has been away on a mission for the war. I'm sure Minato is thrilled to have her back, so I quickly get ready and head to school, today's the day I get my squad assignment.

Since today is the last day I join Simi and Etsuk on top of the stairs. The class was talking amongst ourselves while we wait for the sensei.

"Line up everyone. When I call your name and your squad you will go to the room or location where you'll be meeting your new Sensei. From this moment on you all are no longer Academy Students. Congratulations to you."

Rei and Simi are the first team to be called along with a boy named Izol Kaneki and are branded team two.

Etsuko and Uzuki get into team six with a boy named Keni Kashi. Soon everyone but three are left.

"Ryko Watanabe. Eiji Takahashi. Yuki Uzumaki." I look over to the two remaining boys in the class.

"You will be team nine and your sensei will be here shortly," he walks out and I look over to the two boys and smile at them.

I know Ryko for he's even quieter than me so we've only spoken a few times. Eiji, on the other hand, is loud and very verbal so we don't interact much.

Eiji smiles at us, "I guess we are a team now you two. Let's go kick some enemy butt!" Eiji and I join Ryko at the bottom of the desks.

"How about we train first," Ryko speaks up first. Seconds later a tall man walks in and joins us.

"Alright, you three from today on, you all will follow my lead and depend on one another. Listen to each other and stay focused on your tasks ahead," We nod as he sits us down and tells us he will introduce himself to us and we should do the same for him.

"I am Sisho Izuko my hobby is writing and my hope for the future is to train young ninjas to become amazing Shinobi who will love and respect this village as much as I do," He smiles at us and asks Eiji to go first.

"My name is Eiji Takahashi and I hope to become the best Shinobi in my clan."

"Hi, I'm Ryko Watanabe I aspire to be someone who can be called a great Shinobi.'

"I am Yuki Uzumaki, I intend to repay what was done to my clan," They look at me for a second before our sensei speaks up.

"Alright we will end here for today, just remember to get to know one another for this is your new team and you will be working with each other from now on. I recommend taking today to get more acquainted with each other. Tomorrow we start training together," he leaves us and Eiji offers ramen and I agree

After we ate ramen we headed to a large training ground near the water for some training together.

"I would like to see for myself how you do in a fight Yuki," Eiji speaks up quietly and Ryko nods.

Ryko creates a few clones and attacks first, I begin sealing, "Fuinjutsu: Paralyzing seal."

I stop his clones in their tracks as he jumps into the air to avoid the jutsu.

"Air Style: Air slash," I use a kuna to split the attack in two.

He's a close combat fighter, keeping him at a distance would be my best chance. I use my chains to keep him a bay while I deal with Eiji

Eiji jumps across the river and begins weaving signs, "Earth Style: Rock bullets!" I use a substitute to dodge the attack.

I create another seal and take his attack face first, "Fuinjutsu: Absorbstion!" I take in the jutsu and release it right back to him dives into the river to dodge.

He picks himself up and rushes forward with a kunai I dodge his attacks, before catching him open and using a paralyzing seal on him.

"Shall we try again?" I ask them and they nod.
