I apologize and disable my chains and eyes, "I wanted to train alone for a bit."
"We thought the same I guess," he says softly and I turn away from the young boy.
"Have you been out here long?" He questions and I shake my head.
"No, I just got here. Today's my first training with the Uchiha so I wanted to see what I can do before then," I state as I regain composure.
"You want to fight in the war to come?" He asks me and I nod.
"Yes. The four nations banded together to destroy the Uzumaki to lose the fear of my clan's abilities. I will remind them of that fear." I respond coldly.
"Is that the right kind of mindset that one should have for war?" He asks me and I smile.
"Should I go thinking of peace and best wishes? Wars hold no place for heroes. In the end, war is about who survives, it's never about who's right. It's about who can win," I reply.
A mixture of sadness and understanding fills his eyes. "I suppose that's the outcome of all wars but it's not why we go to war," this time I give him a look.
"In this life war is far more often fought for power than for people. You are either a novice or just wishful thinking. By your thinking, my people died so others had a chance to protect their own and not so they have a higher chance at causing damage to their true target?"
"They're all terrified of the Leaf and have decided to weaken those allies that can stand on their own. A village in the Land of Tea allied to us was being attacked and they had managed to get messages to us, but by the time we arrived, the majority of the village had been burned to the ground. The only survivors were those in the underground bunkers. They were known for their Yang abilities, and their Wood release for it was not a kekkei Kenkai in their family but a learned skill of the villagers," Yuki stays quiet as he lists a few more instances of attacks of aggression towards Leaf Allies.
"The signs of war have been there for a while we just didn't listen. We thought we were untouchable," I respond before raising another question.
"Does that mean they're willing to put their hatred aside for each other long enough to weaken the Leaf? If so will they attack together? Or individually?" I question when his words sink in.
"It's to be determined. Mainly on if we can enough distrust among the villages," he states and I retort that shouldn't be too hard.
"If they're going to these measures before war how afraid of losing are they? Makes me wonder what is next." I ask out loud.
Before I could respond my grandmother approached, "Good morning Shisui, what are you doing here? Did you just get up? You don't rest enough child," my grandmother flutters him.
He blushes and tells her he's an early riser, "I wanted some training but the training grounds by my home were ruined during a training session yesterday so I came here. I was about to ask Yuki if she'd be my sparing partner since she wanted to get some training in as well," Shisui speaks cheerfully to her.
"Oh, that would be great! I know she's itching to see what her new eyes can do," my grandmother turns to me.
"I brought you some breakfast. I'm glad I added some extra food, you can share with Shisui as a thank-you for training with you!" She leaves the box of food by the edge of the field and leaves us.
"Shall we train?" I nod and ask him what would be the appropriate ways to spar with
a Uchiha. He says I can treat it like a real fight and gage as we go, I agree and apologize in advance if I hurt him.
I begin by watching him move when I realize I can't keep up without the Sharigan I activate my eyes.
I use my left eye to slow down his movements to be able to counter properly.
It doesn't take him long to adjust to his movements being altered. I pull out four kunais to create an area of chakra but I recalled I had no need to.
I began to cry, "Yuki?" I wipe my eyes and apologize.
"I just - I finally understand why my brother would give me his eyes." I summon three spheres of Chakra and send them out.
I can do anything with them, I can generate whatever I can imagine. I begin creating paralyzing seals and begin refocusing on my fight not my ablities.
"I hope you don't mind going all out Shisui."
