After the crazy events that had just occurred, Lois decided to drag everyone back to the Kent Farm to destress – not that anyone particularly tried to deny her offer. Kyle was dismissed surprisingly quickly once they deemed him to be his true self and back in his original body. The DOD seemed to have had too many townsfolk to get through so to keep him contained was far too much hassle. Of course, it was assumed that he'd be called in for more tests at a later date but for the time being, Kyle Cushing was a free man.

After arriving at the Kent Farm, the group of adults and teens split into just that, with the adults staying in the kitchen and the group of four high schoolers finding themselves in the living room.

Weirdly, everyone but Tilly made the choice to sit on the floor whereas Tilly decided to make the most of the space and laid down across the sofa. The brothers both sent her amused smiles, to which she just shrugged at, with a matching look, whilst Sarah just sighed heavily, "it's like a war zone downtown with all of the military patrolling. It's very end of days"

"I think Grandpa said they're gonna be leaving soon. They just have to check in on everybody that was mind-swapped or whatever"

Tilly raised her hand to her forehead, feeling a slight headache beginning to form as she mumbled in response to Jonathan's words, "what's the point in that?"

"What's the point in what?" Jordan asked.

Tilly shrugged, "what's the point in leaving so soon when all of this is clearly not over? I mean, Edge is still around and I bet we're not even at his endgame yet. Besides, not all of the body-snatched people have been caught too"

Nobody directly responded to her statement, with Sarah not knowing as much as the boys, but both of the brothers sent her soft, sympathetic looks as she referred indirectly to her father.

"My dad has his good side and not-so-good side but seeing him become a whole different person is—" Sarah went on to explain.

"Tragic?" Tilly added, with a humorous tone to her voice, making Jonathan nudge her softly.

"Must've been strange" Jordan tried.

Jonathan turned back away from Tilly to mumble, "super weird"

After hearing his voice, Tilly couldn't help the urge to poke the boy's head, causing him to swat her hand away quickly. Whilst he sent her an annoyed look, she could see the humorous expression seeping through the exhausted exterior.

"I just instantly assumed the worst of him, even though my mom told me it wasn't all his fault"

"Well, sometimes it's hard to tell when parents are telling you the truth" Jordan tried to say in support of Sarah's side, despite all of them knowing that she wouldn't want that support right now.

Sarah did exactly what Tilly expected and dismissed his attempt, "it's probably the same for them, you know, with us. It seems like families are always lying to each other, which is pretty messed up," there was a difficult silence following her words as they individually thought about how much truth her words held.

Families were messed up. Sarah was right. Even the most loving family kept secrets from each other to protect one another. And even the worst family dynamics forced secrets to be kept either in spite or in protection of themselves. The basis is secrets are unavoidable, unfortunately.

"So, thank you for being honest with me about everything" Sarah continued.

"Yeah sure" "Yeah" the brothers both responded softly, with Jonathan continuing, "I just—just I'm sorry it was such a traumatic experience"

Sarah nodded, acknowledging his statement, "at least it was the truth" then the girl glanced back to Jordan, with a look that Tilly couldn't quite read. At least not until Sarah spoke up again, "is it cool if I have a moment alone with Jordan?"
