Hours passed by too quickly for Tilly as she found herself stood before Jimmy's house far earlier than she would've preferred.

Despite her not exactly feeling the party mood, that didn't mean that she didn't dress up to her usual standard. Sporting a red crop top, matching her nails, and a black skirt that reached half way down her thigh, all pieced together with knee high heels. Tilly didn't care that she didn't match the same aesthetic as the rest of the student body – if anything she thrived off of it.

Jonathan dragged the girl inside the bustling house, leading the way through the crowd of people, with Jordan following behind also. Tilly found it somewhat amusing to see some of the football team already drunk, despite it still being daylight outside.

Lightweights.

Soon enough, the same drunk jocks hollered at Jonathan, to which he waved back in greeting.

"Hey, hurry up and grab a drink" one of the guys patted his shoulder, "we've got Flip Cup out back"

"Alright, right behind you" Jonathan nodded before continuing to lead the way towards where all the drinks were set up.

As the three made it to the table, Tilly scanned her eyes over the options and sighed in slight disgust. Everything was so cheap. It was obviously just alcohol that was either easy to get their hands on or just there solidly for getting people drunk due to the limited mixers available.

A sudden beeping hit the group's ears, even through the noise of the party surrounding them. Jordan was quick to pull out his phone and a concerned look spread across his features.

"It's Grandad" he revealed.

"Don't answer" his brother scoffed, whilst pouring himself a drink. He silently questioned the girl beside him if she wanted some, to which she shook her head.

She sent him a small shrug, "I'm not ready to get drunk just yet, it's still light outside"

"What if something's up?" Jordan rushed out, cutting Tilly off. She didn't care too much, knowing that this could be an important phone call.

Jonathan just continued to act unbothered by the suggestion, going on to say, "then he'll call back"

"I don't know, he never calls" Jordan mumbled, still concerned over the reason behind his Grandpa's call.

"If you want to answer it, do it now. At least before you take a sip of any of this shit" Tilly added her own bit of advice.

However, it fell onto deaf ears when Jonathan slapped his hand onto his brother's shoulder, beginning to almost plead with him, "just be a normal kid for, like, an hour. Okay? I got the ELT. If anything serious happens, I'll call dad"

Jordan met the eyes of Tilly and his look seemed to her that she was being asked her opinion. She was slightly taken aback by the gesture, not realizing that she would be given an opinion when it was a familial issue. But maybe now that she knew everything, she had some kind of say. At least in her friend's eyes. Not knowing what to do, Tilly shrugged at her friend to which he sighed, putting the phone back in his pocket. The girl wasn't too sure what the right choice should be but she understood that they were teenagers after all. They might be involved in things bigger than themselves, but they still deserved to experience everyday things such as high school parties.

"Since when did you become Mr. Party Guy?" Jordan went on to ask, watching his brother practically chug the drink he previously made, "shouldn't you be building rocket launchers with John Henry or something?"

"It's a missile launcher" he quipped back, "and I want to beat Wellnitz at Flip Cup"

"Like you'd ever lose against Wellnitz" Tilly scoffed playfully, making the three erupt into amused laughter. Although she didn't exactly want to come to this thing, Tilly had to admit that she was enjoying spending time with the two brothers.
