Well, shit really did hit the fan.

Tilly tried to make her way as fast as she could over to the Kent Farm, having a really bad feeling about what was about to go down. As she didn't have a ride or anything, not wanting to alert Sarah and Lana because she would hate to break the news of Kyle's actions, she had to settle on walking.

Although she didn't exactly have the best shoes on for walking, she was determined to make sure her friends were okay.

Half an hour later, she finally began her trek down the long driveway towards the house, only to see a glow of red and blue atop the corn fields. Her legs worked faster as she approached, the pit in her stomach growing with every step she took.

However, before she could even get as far as the barn beside the house, a police officer quickly blocked her path.

"I'm sorry miss, I can't let you past"

"Is everyone okay? My friends are in there!" Tilly tried to look past his head towards the front door of the house but there were even more cops and even soldiers blocking any view she could have.

The police officer just shook his head solemnly, "I can't tell you anything right now, miss. We're still investigating"

Tilly had to use every ounce of strength within her to stop herself from biting back about how she knew what happened. She also had to try her hardest to push back the urge to storm through the crowds of men in different uniforms to get to the family inside.

She ended up simply nodding at the man before her, mumbling a small, "thank you" before turning away. Looking back up the driveway, she let out a deep sigh at how she couldn't help more but started to walk once again anyway. Tilly took one last glance towards the house before it was hidden from her sight and had to take a double take at what she thought she saw.

But what she saw was right.

A figure was stood at one of the windows near the top of the house. Focusing her eyes as best as she could, she was relieved to recognise it as Jonathan. She watched as he raised his hand and gave a small wave towards her, making Tilly raise her hand too.

At least he was okay.

She just hoped that his family were too.

As she made her way back to her house, she couldn't help but be left with her own thoughts. It was all one big mess of a situation. It really was.

People that she had grown up around, people she knew for almost her whole life, now had powers. It was one thing to know of Superman having powers. That was crazy enough. But at least Superman was using his powers for good – he used them to help people and to make the world safer and a better place as much as he could. But Morgan Edge? He's giving powers to people in her town for reasons that were obviously far less noble. Whilst she wasn't convinced of the true reason behind his actions just yet, Tilly knew it was something horrible.

It was already hurting the people of Smallville and they weren't even at the main event yet.

And what makes it worse is that her friends are the ones being targeted. The Kent family had quickly grown on her in the time she had moved back into Smallville and she hated how they were being threatened. Yes, Lois was attempting to expose Edge so he was trying to make a show of power. But the reason why he was making this show of power by attacking her home was because she was nearing the truth faster than he clearly hoped.

It was sick and cruel.

There was a part of Tilly that was annoyed at herself. Why did she have to let herself care so much about these people? She returned home looking to portray herself as this strong, confident, cold woman. The blonde didn't want to let herself care for anyone – it would only cause her more pain. And now here she was, trying to rack her brains for any more ways she could help them whilst feeling guilty for not being able to do more for them.
