The light shined through the blinds proving the new day had finally arrived. Birds were chirping outside of the window, presenting the idea that all was calm. That all was good in the world. Everything and everyone was happy.
Unfortunately, what the birds didn't realise was that no one was happy. The events of the previous night laid heavy on all of their minds, and they couldn't shake it.
Of course they couldn't.
Not only did the Kent family get attacked but so did Tilly.
And speaking of the blonde girl, she had been knocked out the whole night. Not one peep was heard from her the entire time, even as dawn turned into the morning when the family had awoken. But the Kents didn't mind. In fact, they were trying to remain quiet in hopes that Tilly would get the rest bite she deserved. They knew that the moment she woke up, everything would flood back and the conversations they would need to have, was suspected to be incredibly difficult – heartbreaking even.
As the sunlight crept into the guest room, Tilly winced lightly at the brightness and rubbed at her eyes groggily. Still feeling the tiredness like it was a sword hanging over her head, she couldn't help but snuggle into the covers and try to go back to sleep as if it was any other day.
Only, as she did that, something seemed to whisper in her mind, telling her that something wasn't right. Something was off...?
Opening her eyes ajar, she glanced around the room, expecting to see the familiar surroundings of the bedroom that she had designed. However, once her eyes focused on the walls and then the bed she was in, Tilly's heartrate began to speed up. She didn't recognise the bedroom at all. Sitting up with a start, Tilly frowned as she tried to look for any signs of where she was.
Only then did everything from the night before flood back into her conscious mind.
Everything from Kyle flying off, to the attack at the Kents, all the way to her getting attacked by her own father... who was currently body snatched.
It was unsurprisingly overwhelming. The blonde raised her hand to her mouth as the tears quickly rose to her eyes. How could this have happened? Why did this have to happen to her? She knew that she shouldn't necessarily be surprised – she hasn't exactly had the best luck in life so far. But this was something on a whole other level.
She detested how she couldn't hold back the silent sobs from racking her body as it all came back to her. It was as if she spent more energy on keeping the sounds that escaped her to a minimum than on trying to calm herself down.
After a few minutes passed, Tilly was finally able to bring the sobs to a soft sniffle herself and she quickly decided that she needed to find out where she was.
The last thing she remembered was Clark picking her up and walking towards his truck. But what if her 'father' got in the way? What if this is her 'father's' hideout?
She thought about it more and deemed the room too nice to be a last-minute room for kidnapped teenage girls. She wanted to hope that Clark really got away and pulled her to safety.
Tilly finally decided to bite the bullet and exit the room, ignoring the slight shake to her hands as the nerves tried to creep up. As she swung the door open, relief completely overshadowed her nerves as she came face to face with Lois and Clark, both sporting expressions of concern and surprise almost.
"Tilly" Lois sighed, glancing at her husband quickly, almost asking for help on what to say. They had discussed a little of what they were going to say to the girl but now that she had awoken and was stood before them, she was hesitant to begin.
The girl glanced between the two adults before her with an unreadable expression on her face, before glancing back at the room she had just come from. She wasn't sure why she hadn't put the pieces together before but only now did she realise that after she passed out, Clark must've brought her back to their home and put her to bed in what seemed to be the guest bedroom.
