After waking up, still at Sarah's house, Tilly was both nervous and filled with dread at the thought of the day ahead of her. Maybe those emotions seem like the same thing to most but to her, they were completely differing feelings. Whilst she was nervous for the conversation, she felt dread over how this would inevitably change her relationship with the Kent family and her life in its entirety.
If she was right, if Clark Kent really was Superman, that's a massive secret to behold. She knew that she wouldn't let it slip – that wasn't her worry. Instead, it was something a little more selfish. If they didn't want her to know about his second identity, could they force her to forget? Could they make her leave Smallville? Could they wipe her memory of it? Would they let her into the secret circle? Would Jonathan hate her? Would he let her into their world?
Tilly didn't want to lose them. She wasn't ready for that – not when she had just begun to trust them. And as we all know by now, that doesn't come easily for the girl.
Whatever happened, however they react, Tilly knew that she had to tell the Kents. Maybe it'll prove once and for all that they can really trust her. She'd like to think that they trusted her already, or at least liked her, but she could understand that trust isn't easy to achieve when you're holding onto your own share of secrets.
But today was the day.
No matter what, she had to confront them.
Sarah and herself got ready for school as usual, but even Sarah wasn't looking forward to the day ahead. Of course, they knew that Kyle was back to normal again after everything went down with the Kryptonians but the town didn't. And as much as Tilly loved the small town they lived in; she realised they weren't the most forgiving.
And that was only proven correct as the two girls entered the main school hallway, only to find themselves on the receiving end of endless numbers of glares.
Tilly rolled her eyes at the students before them and sent them her own special glare back, hoping to shift their eyes away from the brunette beside her. It wasn't fair. It wasn't Sarah's fault that Kyle got body snatched – nor was it really his fault either. Especially not his actions that followed. But another thing known about the people of this town is their judgemental nature. It's infuriating at the best of times but now?
Tilly wanted to wring someone's neck.
She was surprised that they weren't sending her any glares for her father's involvement however they probably didn't even know of his involvement anyway.
What a bastard.
Sarah noticed the eyes on herself and Tilly and curled her arm around Tilly's so that they could stick together easier, to which Tilly didn't mind.
Only then did she catch sight of Jordan and Jonathan by their lockers. Was she ready to talk to them about it yet? No. Especially not at school. There were too many prying eyes and ears around for the privacy they needed.
After being too lost in her thoughts, Tilly didn't realise the direction in which Sarah was leading her – that being straight towards Jonathan and Jordan. She only noticed when Sarah came to a stop, halting her in her steps as well. . It was at this moment she regretted having her arm wrapped in Sarah's. Once she made eye contact with the two boys, Tilly immediately took her arm back from being wrapped around Sarah's and crossed them across her chest.
The two boys were a little taken aback by her glower but continued to speak with Sarah, who was very wary over being watched.
"Today's gonna suck" Jordan sighed.
"It feels like the Salem witch trials out here" Sarah hugged her books closer to her chest as to protect herself from everything else.
"Hey Sarah"
