Next Monday
[]
Violet wasn't sleeping well since that night. Not after what she saw. After what happened.
Elijah was a little annoyed with her failure to show up at the bar, but this was before he realized that he had given her the wrong address in his drunken state.
When she went home and burrowed herself under the sheets as if she was hiding from something, he was confused, but, she wouldn't tell him what she saw.
She didn't tell him about the types of people she found out that her boss was apart of. He intimidated Violet naturally, but now she was in complete and utter fear.
Last week, she couldn't even stand in the same room, breathe in his cologne, or hear his voice. It wouldn't leave her mind, that image of him. But she knew that maintaining professionalism means to pretend as if nothing had ever happened.

When Violet got to work last Monday, it was very similar to how she envisioned it to be, except she also noticed changes in Lucious' behavior. He seemed anxious. He kept fixing his tie even when it was perfect, kept checking his shoes even though they rarely became untied. Kept checking the shining watch on his wrist even though he already checked it a minute prior.
When she would come into his office, she maintained her demeanor, but she would end conversations quickly and leave the room as soon as possible. When she'd see him in the elevator, she would only say hello and refuse to make eye contact with him. She would scoot to the furthest edge of the doors.
Things were like this for the first week. She was completely mortified. Terrified. She felt as if all trust had been broken. But then on Friday...the version of her mind that she deemed twisted began to take over.

Past Friday Night

When Violet shut her eyes this night after finally being able to sleep peacefully enough, she had no idea what her subconscious had in store for her.

Violet walked into the room after twisted the knob quietly. She could see him sitting in a loveseat in the middle of it. Black just like his eyes were.
He sat there in silence, and yet she was too afraid to utter a word towards his cold face. Not a smirk in sight, he was always intimidating. But this...his eyes, his dark clothes, his anger. This was a completely different level of fear he was giving.
She watched him as he slowly began to stand up from the chair. Still not uttering a single word but his eyes remaining fixated on her fragile spirit.
She backed away, sprinting out of the room and shutting it behind her. He was right behind, swinging it open and following behind her down the hall. He shouted her name with venom.
She ran through the maze of hallways within this home with an unknown owner. Panting, shaking, and afraid. When she found a room to be alone in, she thought that she was safe.
