Two Days Later

Violet turned over, pulling the sheets over her shoulder and she nuzzled into the bed more. Lucious snuck up behind her, wrapping his arms around her waist and kissing her cheek. "Trying to get out of bed already?" He asked. "No..." She laughed. "I'm trying to get more sleep.." She said. He grinned, kissing her ear. "Well I'm afraid that you've missed that opportunity, it's time to get ready for work..." He said.
Violet leaned up to check the time, then sighing. Lucious chuckled, then sitting up from the bed and on his end. He yawned, then standing up after a moment. He stretched, then pulling down his sleeping shirt. He walked to Violets side of the bed, staring down at her. He reached out his hand to move a strand of hair from her face, then gently rub her cheek with his thumb.
"I know you've had a tough week. It's almost over. It's Friday, remember?" He asked. "I know...but..." She said, and he gently pulled the covers from over her shoulders. "I can say the good news is that you'll be coming home with me. So today should be easier, right?" He asked. She stared at him, then shuffling underneath the sheets ever so slightly.

"Um...when do you think would be a good time to get my clothes from the house?" Violet asked after she entered the kitchen. She was wrapped in a towel, and her hair was clipped back. Lucious was standing at the counter, mincing some garlic for the meal he was making.
He looked over his shoulder at her a single time. "It depends on what day he isn't there." Said Lucious. He could hear her sigh a little, and he knew the exact reason why. Despite Elijah being terrible, abusive, rude, and likely misogynistic, he was still a man she loved and had been with for a long time. He was sure that not all memories between them were bad. Sometimes he probably made her feel like she was the best thing he's ever had. But you can't have love and hate at the same time.
Lucious wanted her to make herself feel like she was the only girl in the world. He wanted her to embrace self love first. Otherwise she wouldn't recognize healthy love coming from someone else. She walked up to the kitchen counter, standing beside him.
"It's not your fault." Lucious said to her. "But...how do I know that...?" She asked. "Because rejecting something you don't want should never be considered a fault. You rejected him. And reasonably so, not out of the blue. So whatever pain he's feeling, or anger, is not your fault." Lucious said.
"I know you loved him but know that form of love was limited." Lucious said, looking over at her. She stared up at him then nodding her head slowly. "I know..." She mumbled. "But whatever you do, don't blame yourself. Alright?" He said. "Good." He leaned forward to kiss her forehead. She felt a warmth coursing through her body from it.
During the short time she's been here, they haven't been intimate. No sex and no kissing either. It was clear that Violet wanted that, but Lucious refrained due to a few reasons. He wanted to make sure that she was staying true to her separation from Elijah. He knew that Violet enjoyed being around him but last time that was only temporary. Lucious was a 'good time' whom she wanted more with but not as badly enough to stay with him. Lucious always thought about how bizarre young people and their fascination for toxic relationships were.
He didn't want to make that mistake again. Not until he had solid proof for himself that she was done with Elijah for good. Until then, he provided his care and affection, but nothing more until she convinced him that she was interested in a real relationship.
