Violet entered Lucious' office, her shoes audible against the shining floor.
She sat down forms onto his desk, and his eyes traveled up to hers once she did so. "Thank you, Violet." He said.
While he sat there, all she could do was have a compilation of thoughts running through her head. She always found it somewhat humorous how he couldn't read her mind well enough to know what she was thinking about-
"-Did you hear me?" Lucious asked, making Violet jump out of her staring gaze at him. She curled her lips awkwardly, then looking down at the floor. "Sorry, Sir..." She said. "I asked you if you needed anything else from me, otherwise you're free to go..." He said.
He placed his elbows onto the desk and folded his fingers underneath his chin. "You know, not to sound rash but I've noticed that you've been zoning out a lot at work lately. Especially when you're looking at me. Is there something on your mind?" He asked. Secretly, he hoped that it had nothing to do with what she discovered about him not too long ago. Ever since then, it seems like she's been in a different world. She treated him with the same minimum respect, but her eyes said a different story.
Violet could attest to this, because over the past two weeks, all that has run through her mind was the same thing as before. She's been having dreams almost every single night about what she saw that day at the bar. She could see him in her dreams, treating her the same way he treated that woman on stage with him. Except her dreams had far more variety.
In one, he threw a vase near her head before throwing her down to the floor onto the shattered pieces.
In another, he shouted at her for messing up a copy job, then slamming her down onto the work desk and taking advantage of her.
In many dreams he called her all types of derogatory terms. A whore, a slut, a good for nothing tramp. Although these are all things she's experienced from Elijah, none of it left her fingering herself in the bathroom like when Lucious did it.
It was only up until last week that they were solely dreams. After that, each time she looked at him all she could do was imagine her own dreams turning to scenarios. When she could come into the office each morning to bring him his coffee, she wondered what would happen if she got the order wrong. She hoped he would slap it out of her hands and make her clean it off of the floor.
When she would finish a work task, she wondered what would happen if she made a mistake. She hoped that he would make her redo it over and over again, even after she got it right only to make her waste her own time.
When they were in meetings, all she could think about was him slamming her down onto the table and humiliating her in front of everyone in the room.
How strange her mind is...sometimes she didn't understand it herself.
"No...there's nothing on my mind..." She said, then shifting her feet. He raised an eyebrow single time. "Hm. If you say so." He said.

Once he gave her the clearance to leave, he stood in his usual spot to watch as Elijah picked her up. Even though he and Violet seemed to no longer have a 'situationship' of some sort, he still didn't bother to trust Elijah one bit. He would watch the car up until it left the parking lot. He still viewed her safety as a priority.
