C/N POV:

I glance at the bottom right corner of my laptop screen, checking the device's digital clock for the umpteenth time.

He should be here any minute now.

In the meantime, I decide to pull out his file and glance at his information again.

Let's see...

Name: Y/N

Position of interest: cleaner

Uniform choice: maid outfit

Maid outfit, huh? I've never had a male employee pick that option before, due to the fact that it has a skirt. That should be cute.

Available hours/days: any/all

Flexible. I like that.

I glance up at Y/N's picture on the page and I find myself smiling at his appearance.

His looks aren't something that he has to have for the job, but it's definitely a bonus. I think I'm going to like Y/N a lot.

As if on cue, my secretary opens my office door and pokes her head in.

"Um, S-Sir?"

"Ah, yes, Cozette?"

"There's a... man, I think? Either way, someone is here for you."

"I know exactly who that is. Go ahead and let him in for me, please."

Cozette nods and steps out of the way of the door, making way for Y/N to walk in. I lift my head up, shifting my eyes from his file to the door. Taps echo from the tile floor with each step, the sounds being followed by a shy voice as he peeks into the room.

"Is this the right room...?"

So cute.

"Why, yes it is, Y/N. Come on in."

Y/N walks in, his hands behind his back as he stands at attention before my desk.

"Do you have anything for me to do right now, Master?"

He's polite, too. I love him already.

"Yes, actually. Could you dust off the file cabinet and the shelves, please?"

Y/N bows and gives an affirmative hum.

"Perfect. Your cleaning supplies are in that closet on that end of the room."

I gesture to the supply closet and Y/N's eyes follow my finger. He nods and heads towards the closet, his shirt swaying the slightest bit with every step he takes.

I was correct. The skirt is definitely cute.

I go back to working on my computer, typing out & sending a reply for my last previously unread email from over the weekend.

There, finally done with that. Now for my least favorite task...

I close the email page and open my list of documents saved on my computer, eventually double-clicking a spreadsheet page and putting the page into full screen mode.

Payroll.

Before I can type out a single number, I hear a small 'oops' coming from the shelf across the room. I glance up from my desktop, locking eyes with Y/N. He's standing like a deer in headlights, a dust rag and my old, long-broken picture frame in his hands. I look down, seeing the frame's glass pane and the picture from it lying on the floor. I quickly connect the dots and give him a gentle smile, hoping to help him calm down.
