That evening, as the sun dipped below the horizon, painting the sky in hues of orange and purple, Lucifer and Alastor settled into a table for two in the dining area. The atmosphere buzzed with excitement as the rest of the staff engaged in lively conversations, but the two demons were wrapped up in their own little world, the chatter fading into the background.
Lucifer picked at his food absentmindedly, a soft smile lingering on his lips. "So, what do you want to do tonight after dinner?" he asked, a playful glint in his eyes. "I was thinking we could watch some more YouTube videos. You really should see the one with the cats in tiny hats."
Alastor hesitated for a moment, his expression shifting slightly. "Actually..." he began, his voice a little shaky. "I was wondering if we could do something else after dinner. Not in the room, though."
Lucifer tilted his head, his curiosity piqued. "Oh? What do you have in mind?"
Before he could ask further, the realization struck him like a bolt of lightning, and his heart raced at the memory of the accessory Alastor had brought with him. "Wait," he said, a smirk creeping onto his face. "You mean... that thing?"
Alastor's cheeks flushed a shade darker, and he averted his gaze, fiddling with the edge of his napkin. "Well, yes. I thought it might be... fun to try something a little different tonight."
Lucifer chuckled, the initial surprise melting into amusement. "You're serious, aren't you?" he teased, leaning closer. "You want to explore that side of things, out here in public?"
"Not... not like that!" Alastor sputtered, his flustered demeanor only making Lucifer laugh harder. "I just thought it would be a change of pace! Something a little adventurous!"
Lucifer's laughter subsided, replaced by a warm sense of excitement. "Alright, I'm game. But I can't believe you're actually suggesting this. You, the Radio Demon, are asking me to partake in an adventurous escapade with... that thing?"
Alastor shot him a playful glare, though the hint of a smile tugged at his lips. "Don't mock my tastes, dear. It can be exhilarating—if you're willing to step outside your comfort zone."
"I'm all in," Lucifer replied, his grin widening. "But you better keep up, because I'm not going to let you off easy."
As they finished their dinner, the air was thick with anticipation, and both demons felt a thrilling blend of nerves and excitement coursing through them. The evening promised to be anything but ordinary, and as they stood up from the table, they couldn't shake the feeling that they were about to embark on a new chapter in their budding relationship—one that held the promise of exploration and deeper connection.
