As they continued their quest for snacks, the trio rounded another corner and unexpectedly ran into Charlie. She was humming a cheerful tune, her eyes sparkling with excitement.

"Hey, you guys!" she greeted, her smile brightening the dim corridor. "What are you up to?"

Lucifer felt a slight rush of panic wash over him. He exchanged a glance with Alastor, who seemed equally amused yet wary of the situation. "Oh, you know," Lucifer said, trying to play it cool, "just a little tired and... drunk." He flashed a grin, hoping to deflect her curiosity.

Charlie tilted her head, her brow furrowing slightly as if she sensed something was off. "Drunk? But it's so early! Are you sure you're okay?"

Alastor, ever the master of mischief, jumped in before Lucifer could respond. "He's perfectly fine, dear Charlie! Just enjoying the night in our own... special way." He gave a wink that only deepened Charlie's confusion.

Lucifer couldn't help but stifle a giggle, both from the absurdity of the situation and Alastor's playful demeanor. "Yeah, really! Nothing to worry about!"

Charlie looked back and forth between them, her innocent gaze lingering on Lucifer's slightly glazed expression. "Okay, if you say so! Just remember to take care of yourselves!"

"Always," Alastor replied smoothly, nodding his head. With a playful tug on Lucifer's arm, he started to pull him away, a shared giggle escaping their lips as they distanced themselves from Charlie.

Once they were out of earshot, Lucifer burst into laughter, leaning against the wall for support. "That was close! I thought she was going to figure it out!"

Alastor chuckled, his eyes glinting with mischief. "Oh, dear Lucifer, she's far too innocent to catch on to our shenanigans. But it does make for an entertaining evening, doesn't it?"

"Definitely," Lucifer agreed, wiping tears of laughter from his eyes. "Let's keep this adventure going!"

With that, the two of them resumed their search for snacks, the camaraderie between them feeling even stronger as they shared in the lightheartedness of the moment.
