As they settled into the plush couch in the parlor, Alastor grabbed the remote and flicked on the TV. The soft glow illuminated the room, casting a warm ambiance around them.
"What do you want to watch?" he asked, scanning through the apps.
Lucifer leaned back, looking thoughtful. "How about something funny? I could use a good laugh after being stuck in bed all day."
Alastor smirked, a playful glint in his eyes. "Funny, huh? You mean like those silly videos of cats knocking things over?"
"Hey, don't knock it! Those are classics," Lucifer shot back with a grin. "But you're the one who's taken a liking to this technology. I thought you hated it."
Alastor raised an eyebrow, feigning shock. "I do not 'like' technology, dear. I merely appreciate its... uses. A tool can be as good as the hand that wields it."
Lucifer chuckled, leaning over to poke Alastor in the side. "You know, for someone who claims to hate technology, you've become quite the aficionado. I half-expect you to start wearing a headset and streaming your own gaming channel next."
"Please," Alastor scoffed, crossing his arms dramatically. "I wouldn't lower myself to such mundanity. Besides, my talents are better suited for more... thrilling pursuits." He turned back to the screen, feigning indifference while secretly enjoying the banter.
Lucifer snickered, his eyes sparkling with mischief. "Right, because torturing sinners is so much more sophisticated than playing video games."
"You wound me," Alastor replied, putting a hand to his chest in mock offense. "But I must say, there is a certain artistry to orchestrating chaos, much like the fine performances one might find on—" He paused, glancing at the screen. "Oh, look! A video titled 'Epic Fails Compilation.'"
Lucifer burst out laughing. "See? You've gone soft! Admit it, you love this stuff." He leaned closer, nudging Alastor with his shoulder.
Alastor rolled his eyes, though he couldn't hide his smile. "Fine, I'll indulge in your petty entertainment... just this once."
"Just this once, huh?" Lucifer teased, snuggling closer as the video began to play. "I'll hold you to that, Mr. Radio Demon."
As the video started, they both burst into laughter at the absurdity on the screen. The comfortable teasing and warmth between them made Alastor forget all about his earlier reservations. For now, it was just them, enjoying each other's company and the simple joy of laughter.
