After the dance, Alastor and Lucifer made their way to the deck, joining Husk and Angel for some drinks. The night air was warm, the stars twinkling overhead as laughter and music filled the atmosphere. Conversations flowed as freely as the drinks, and before long, they were all caught up in banter and playful jabs.
An hour in, Lucifer found himself so engrossed in the conversation that he hadn't noticed when Alastor had slipped away. He turned to Husk, curiosity bubbling up inside him. "Hey, when did Alastor leave?"
Husk shrugged, taking a swig from his drink. "Not long ago. He mentioned something about needing some air."
Lucifer's brow furrowed slightly. He glanced around, searching for any sign of Alastor, but it was clear he was gone. As he reached for his drink, his fingers brushed against something on the table. He picked it up, unfolding the small piece of paper that bore Alastor's neat handwriting.
*Meet me on the balcony* it read, with a small heart drawn underneath.
Lucifer's heart raced at the note's simple yet affectionate message. He felt a rush of excitement and curiosity wash over him. He looked up at Husk and Angel, who were both eyeing him with mischievous grins.
"Looks like someone's in for a private rendezvous," Angel said with a wink, snatching the note from Lucifer's hand. "Oh, they're fuckin' for sure," he declared, practically bouncing with glee.
Lucifer felt his cheeks heat up, a mix of embarrassment and anticipation flooding through him. "I, uh—"
"Go on! Don't keep him waiting," Husk urged, a teasing glint in his eye.
With a final nod, Lucifer excused himself and made his way towards their cabin, the note still clutched tightly in his hand. Each step felt charged with an electric energy, his mind racing with thoughts of Alastor. What could he possibly want? Was this just a sweet note, or something more?
As he approached the door to their room, he took a deep breath, feeling both nervous and exhilarated. He gently pushed the door open and stepped inside, looking around for Alastor.
"Alastor?" he called softly, his heart pounding as he took a step into the dimly lit space.
The balcony door was ajar, and the gentle sounds of the night wafted in from outside. Taking another breath, he walked toward the balcony, curiosity getting the better of him.
As he stepped out into the cool night air, the sight that greeted him sent a thrill down his spine. Alastor stood at the railing, gazing out at the ocean, his silhouette framed by the moonlight. The moment Alastor heard the door creak, he turned, a smile spreading across his face that made Lucifer's heart skip a beat.
"Lucifer," Alastor said, his voice smooth and inviting. "I was hoping you'd come."
