The fiery glow of the Hellish sky cast a dim light over the dock as everyone boarded the cruise ship. The residents of Hazbin Hotel, along with a few guest sinners, were buzzing with excitement. Charlie, with her boundless enthusiasm, led the charge, making sure everyone was settled. Vaggie followed close behind, trying to keep things organized. The massive ship loomed above them, ready to take them on a three-night voyage through Hell's infernal waters.
Lucifer stood on the deck, his suitcase in hand, his nerves slightly frayed. The thought of spending three nights in a confined room with Alastor had him on edge, though he tried his best to hide it. He glanced at Alastor, who was currently chatting with Husk and Angel. That ever-present grin on Alastor's face, combined with the mischief in his eyes, only made Lucifer feel more uneasy.
As everyone grabbed their keys and made their way to their assigned rooms, Lucifer followed Alastor down the narrow corridor, their footsteps echoing in the metal hallway.
"Well, this is us," Alastor said cheerfully as they reached their room. He unlocked the door and pushed it open.
Lucifer stepped inside and immediately stopped in his tracks. His eyes swept over the room—a single queen bed sat against the wall. No twin beds, no separate sleeping arrangements, just one large bed.
Lucifer's heart skipped a beat. *Oh no.*
"Well, this is... cozy," Alastor remarked, his voice laced with amusement as he set his suitcase down by the door.
Lucifer stood frozen for a moment, his mind racing. Sharing a room was already nerve-wracking enough, but now sharing a bed? He had no idea how he was going to handle this.
"You seem tense, Lucifer," Alastor said, glancing over at him with a sly smile. "Worried about something?"
Lucifer forced a laugh, trying to shake off his awkwardness. "No, no. Just... surprised, is all."
"Ah, yes, it is rather unexpected," Alastor replied smoothly, walking over to his side of the bed. "But I'm sure we'll manage."
Lucifer nodded stiffly, trying to ignore the heat rising to his cheeks. He busied himself by unpacking his things, pretending to focus on arranging his clothes. Across the room, Alastor was unpacking as well, meticulously organizing his belongings. It was then that Lucifer's eyes landed on something unusual sticking out of Alastor's suitcase—a sleek, black object peeking out from beneath his neatly folded clothes.
"What's that?" Lucifer asked, his curiosity piqued.
Alastor paused for a moment before casually pulling his suitcase closer to himself, blocking Lucifer's view. "Oh, nothing you need to worry about, Lucifer."
Lucifer raised an eyebrow, his curiosity only growing. "Nothing? Really? Come on, what is it?"
Alastor gave him a sidelong glance, his usual grin never wavering. "It's just a personal item. No need to concern yourself with it."
Lucifer wasn't satisfied. "A personal item? You're not usually so secretive, Alastor. What is it?"
Alastor sighed softly, realizing that Lucifer wasn't going to drop the subject. "You really don't let things go, do you?"
Lucifer crossed his arms, smirking slightly. "Not when something's clearly being hidden."
Alastor chuckled, shaking his head as he closed his suitcase. "Very well, if you must know... it's a dildo."
Lucifer's eyes widened in shock, his mouth slightly agape as he stared at Alastor. "A... a dildo?"
Alastor's smile grew wider, as if enjoying Lucifer's reaction. "Yes, Lucifer, a dildo. I brought it along in case I felt the need for some... private entertainment during our little cruise."
Lucifer's face turned a deep shade of red. He had not been expecting that. "I—I mean... okay."
Alastor's gaze remained on Lucifer, clearly enjoying the awkwardness he had caused. "Oh dear, Lucifer, you're blushing. Surely you've encountered such things before?"
Lucifer cleared his throat, trying to regain his composure. "I—I have, I just didn't expect you to... say it so casually."
Alastor's laughter rang out softly as he returned to unpacking his things. "There's no need for embarrassment. We're all adults, after all."
Lucifer rubbed the back of his neck, desperately trying to find some semblance of normalcy in the conversation. "Right. Adults. Of course."
The tension in the room thickened as Lucifer attempted to busy himself with unpacking, though his mind couldn't stop replaying what had just happened. He glanced at Alastor, who was now humming quietly to himself, completely unbothered by the situation.
"Don't worry, Lucifer," Alastor added, his tone light and teasing. "I'll be sure to keep things discreet. I wouldn't want to make you uncomfortable."
Lucifer let out a nervous chuckle, trying to brush off his unease. "That's... appreciated."
"Good," Alastor replied, giving him one final, knowing look before turning back to his luggage.
As they continued unpacking in silence, Lucifer's mind raced. Sharing a room with Alastor for three nights had already felt like a daunting task, but now the added complexity of the one bed—and the knowledge of Alastor's "personal item"—made things infinitely more complicated.
Lucifer could only hope he'd survive the next three nights without completely losing his mind.
