Chapter 11: The Wait

Recap: "I... I was going to find you and you weren't at the cabin last night so I stayed there and I woke up and oh my god, we need to run. Now!"

"Wait why do we need to run? Princess, who are we running from?"

"My dad."

We ran, as fast as we could. I told him to go on without me, that they wouldn't hurt me. It took him some convincing that I would be fine, but he finally left me to be "rescued" by my pack. I finally smelt the scent of my pack, including my father. 'Shit.'

Lily's POV:

My mother and me wait for the return of the pack, and hopefully my runaway sister is along with them. 'My sister. She attacked me. She yelled at me. All because of a stupid fucking rogue... Why the hell is she so defensive about him?'

"Mom?"

"Yea?"

"Do you think something happened to her?"

She looked at me, knowing who I was so concerned about. I just want her back alive and well."

"Same here mom, same damn thing here."

"Hey sweetie?"

"What's wrong mom?"

"Nothing's wrong but its about your sister and that rogue."

"What about them?"

"Do you think she's getting all defensive about him because they are..."

"They are what?"

"Never mind, it couldn't be."

"Mom, just tell me what you think."

"Do you think they are mates?"

I stare in shock as I heard those words. 'A rogue and an alphas daughter... Could they be mate's? I mean, I was the same way when I met Josh. Josh. Oh shit! I forgot to...'

My thought was cut short by the slaming of the pack house door.

"Oh my god! Hunny are you OK? You didn't call me, I got so worried! Baby what's wrong?"

Oh how much I love my mate. Josh Rivers. My future husband in two months. The one who holds the title, Third In Command.

"Hunny I'm fine, I'm sorry I didn't call. I was just caught up in things and..."

"What things?"

"I... It's Paige. She keeps disappearing and getting angr..."

Before I could finish my sentence, I'm cut short again my my mates lips meeting mine. 'Oh how much I missed him...'

"You don't have to explain. I heard what has happened already. Are you sure your ok?"

He keeps looking over my body for any wounds.

"I'm fine, all she did was push me against a tree. Nothing serious."

"Good."

"Look just go home. My dad will find her and control her. Just please, go back home. I love you."

I gave him a slight kiss and headed upstairs to go shower as I wait for my family to come home.
