Chapter 22: Nicknames

Recap: Just as we were about to kiss, the door slams open...

Paige's POV:

The ajar door revealed a very pissed off Jackson, an overprotective brother of mine. I could feel Jake getting tense under my touch. What shocked me the most was the growl of my brother.

"WHO THE HELL ARE YOU?!?!"

Jake stood and growled, protecting me from my own brother.

'Mates...' My wolf rolls her eyes, yet I couldn't agree more. Now it's time to be the alpha. I let my eyes glow red, eyes of an alpha wolf. I growl loudly as I let my wolf take over my human form.

"DON'T. YOU. DARE. TALK. TO. MY. MATE. EVER. LIKE. THAT."

With each word, my wolf took a step toward my brother. He whimpers back in fear and cowers on the floor before me.

"OUT BROTHER!"

My wolf bares her teeth at Jackson, warning him to not mess with me, nor her. He scampers out the door, like with his tail in between his legs. I felt the warmth of my mates arms around me, him sniffing my neck to calm his wolf down.

"God that was sexy..."

He sucks on my earlobe, making me moan slightly. I could feel him smirk on my neck. My wolf loving every moment of this, even though his ego is getting bigger every second of this. I turn around and smash my lips onto his soft, luscious ones. He pulls away suddenly, and looks at me and smiles. Oh that handsome smile!

"I love you Princess."

"I love you too, wait what should be your nickname?"

"Didn't we already talk about this? It's super hot, sexy mate. Damn you thought I was kidding?"

"How about... Jakey poo?"

Once I said that he glared I almost got intimated. Almost.

"Okay okay, does humongous ego work?"

"Does putting my foot up you're ass work?"

"I can think of something else that can go up my ass."

I gave him a little wink and he growled, a bulge in his pants growing.

"I can make that happen Princess."

He growled as I ran down the stairs laughing, him hot on my tail. I reach the bottom of the stairs and sprint out the front door and shift into my pure black wolf. My wolf turns around to see my mate shift into his deep red coated wolf. My God he is sexy, human and wolf. He sprints towards me and tackles me to the ground. I get up off the ground and jump up on him, making him growl and nip at me playfully. He then rolls into the dirt and walks over to me and begins to rub his dirty coat onto mine. I sneeze and growl at him, causing him to have that cute wolfy grin.

"Ahm"

We turn our heads so fast you would've thought we snapped our necks. The sight before us made me want to run and hide in a rabbit hole and stay there. My father, standing before me and Jake with his arms crossed. Then there is my mother trying to hold in her excitement, jumping up and down with her hands covering her mouth.

'I bet Jake is wetting his pants by now' my wolf whispered.

'I wouldn't blame him, this is terrifying.'

"What are you doing with my daughter rogue? Running away with her again?"

My father said that a little to calmly for anyone's liking, meaning he is pissed. My mother slapped the back of his head, making my father glare at the back of her head. My mother walked over to our wolves, still in the same position as before. She stood proudly before us, meaning she wants to be in charge. My father hates her independence some times, they were both born by strong alphas and my mother took the Luna title in her own hands. A very stubborn and scary Luna. You couldn't blame her for wanting to be in charge. My grandpa told me that the alpha blood runs strong in her, so I guess they trained her to be a feared alpha. But she learned my watching her own father, as do I.

"Go shift. Now!"

Her voice boomed in the cool air and made a chill run down my spine. The big badass alpha looks like he shit his pants. I wasn't kidding when I said she was scary. But things don't come out good when she uses her Luna voice. I immediately went behind a tree and changed into my human form. I slipped on my clothes hidden in the tree and walked back out to find my mate gone.

"He's changing sweetheart."

Its like my mother read my mind! I turn around to see my mate shirtless, but in a pair of my brothers shorts. Holy hot damn does he look delicious. I could lick those rock hard, eight pack of abs of his and...

'No, stop it. Parents are here. Get your head together Paige!' My wolf growled but whined, knowing she wants him too.

'Like what you see princess?' Jake gave me a wink, making chills run down my spine. Stupid mind linking! Now that we fully mated, we can now communicate through mind linking. My mother runs over to both of us and hugs us, yes hugs us. She freaking used her Luna voice just so she could hug us! Wow, somehow that doesn't surprise me. My mother is very unpredictable. My father continued to glare at my mate, as I could see was making Jake uncomfortable and nervous. My father stepped forward and held out his hand to my mate.

"I'm Paige's father, hurt her and I will kill you got it?"

My mother slapped her mates arm and scoffed. Jake quickly nodded and shook my fathers hand.

"Yes sir."
