Chapter 16: Meeting The Luna (Part 1)

Recap: "That rogue is not her mate. She's an alphas daughter. A rogue will only make her weak, vulnerable because he can't protect his own ass! My daughter will reject him, she has to."

Jake's POV:

Dream:
I wake up in the middle field, in human form. 'Where the hell am I?'
I'm so confused on why I'm here, but am suddenly alert when I smell my mates blood on a tree.

"Ahhhhhh!!! Jake please help me!! Please please please!! No! Cassy!!!

"I'm coming Paige just hold on!"

I arrive at the scene and see a limp body of the only family I have left, Cassy. I walk shakily over to her body and cry, not believing it was her.

"Paige! Where are you?!?"

I heard a deep, familiar voice behind me.

"Oh son, you might want to turn around if you want to know."

I can hear the smirk in his voice. I turn around hesitantly, waiting to wake up.

"Do you want to see your precious mate die, right in front of you? Or, do you want to take her place?"

'Father thinks I'm weak huh? I will show him how much of an alpha I am.'

"Jake, please don't. Please just run. He's just gonna kill me anyways. Please baby please listen. Please."

I can't stand to see my princess cry. Not ever. But I'm not gonna let her die when I can sacrifice myself for her.

"Father, I will gladly take her place."

"No! No baby please don't do this just run please."

My mate pleas for me to run, to not die for her. But I do that, I need to protect her. My mates next words surprise me.

"Jake, I love you. Forever and always."

My father takes me by surprise, when he doesn't take me, like he didn't hear my answer. He grins evilly, holding his claws to her neck, tighter then before.

"Wrong choice son."

He then rips his claws across her throat. Her body limp on the forest floor.

I whisper my next words, for only to my beloved mate to hear.

"I love you too princess"

I woke up suddenly, breathing heavily as I try to take in where I am.

'We are in the Red Moon Packs pack cell you idiot! Use your damn senses for once!'

And there is my reason why I hate my wolf.

'I heard that' My wolf growled in annoyance.

"You were supposed to you fucking asshole!"

"You know it's weird when you talk to yourself right?"

I turn around and see a tall, blonde male smirking at me.

"And you know when you smirk like that you look like a total Paedophile right?"

He growled lowly and glared, like he wanted to rip my head off.

'Like he could even get that far.' My wolf snickered.

"Look mutt, if you don't already know where you are you're in my packs cell house and I would watch your mouth if I were you."

"Good thing you're not me then."

I hear the door slam shut and a loud growl come from it.

"Josh, what the hell are you doing talking to the rogue. You might hurt his little puppy heart." (Josh is third in command, Paige's sister Lily's mate)

I stare up at an even taller, brown haired, older male. Smells like the beta.

"Look I was told to check up on him ok? So calm your fucking tits Charley."

"Well good thing the mutt is awake, Luna Sarah wants him to come inside the pack house."

"Is Luna on drugs?"

"No but I bet you are. Now let him out and walk him to the pack house. Luna wants to speak with him."

'The Luna? Why would she want me?'

'Because she knows about you and Paige.' My wolf whispered.

I'm let out of my holding cell and guided into the dark night, towards my mates home.
