Chapter 23: Runaway Alpha

Paige's POV
"He's gone mom, he just left." I watch my mother look at me with teary eyes, her arms wrapped around her waist and pacing back in forth. She slowly drops on the bed with her head in her hands. She told me my father and her had a fight about Jake. My father left because of me, because I wanted my mate and Cassy to be accepted into the pack. My sister Lilly suddenly runs in, and stop to see my broken mother on my bed. She runs up to me and our mother and hugs us, causing all of us to cry. "Mom, what happened?" Lilly looks me in the eye with her baby blue eyes, mind linking of what happened. My mother stands up and walks to the window, looking at the tall trees blowing in the winter air. "You really want to know?" Flashbacks run through the family mind link...

"That rouge is never going to be apart of this family, nor in this pack. My own daughter and future alpha of red moon pack cannot be mated to a disgusting rogue. He brought WAR SARAH!! His old pack is at war with us because his little mutt ass. I disown my daughter for such stupidity!"... My mother glares at my father, walks up to him and slaps his right cheek.  Father looks at her with surprised eyes and holds his now red cheek. My mother starts to tear up as my father turns away and shifts out the door...

"So that's what happened, he disowned Paige." My sister Lily groaned in frustration. I stare blankly at the window, looking outside to the wooded area. A tear rolls down my face as I think over and over, I let my father down. My Alpha. I cannot believe any of this anymore...

Alpha Dylan's POV

I run as fast as I can, my paws slamming onto the cold floor. I let my anger through my loud growls as I rush through the fallen leaves. I left, I left my mate, my daughters, my son, my pack. I left because of a rouge invaded my territory. A rouge cannot run my pack, but I cannot change who Paige's mate is.

' Just go back, our mate misses us. She's sad...' My wolf whines and whimpers.

I hear a loud snap behind behind me and make an abrupt stop. I sniff the air, an uneasy feeling in my gut. A deep growl erupted and a repugnant smell that burned my nose. A rouge. I turn around and snap my jaws as I turn around and look at the bloodshot eyes in front of me. I circle the wolf, stalking his body. My paws, one by one move in synch to reach my moving target before me. The wolfs red coat seems familiar yet foreign. By his smell and amount of power, I would say he's an inexperienced alpha or a beta. He snaps his jaws, foam starting to foam at the mouth. What the hell?

'Just finish him, you are the alpha not him!'

The wolf starts to shake rapidly, whining in pain. The wolf the passes out onto the floor, the foam from his mouth pouring out like water. I shift back into my human form and get dressed.

'We should take him to the pack Doctor. We might get some information about why he's here.'

My wolf was right, he needed help and fast. I turn around and noticed his still laying body is now in human form. I pick him up and carry him throughout the forest. I just hope my family will forgive me for leaving for the first, and last time.
