Moving Forward

Chapter 7: Princess

Recap: I wanted to shift so badly and in anger, I shifted and lunged at my best friend. The one who called my mate bad and trouble. I hover over her small, human frame. She looks at me with wide, teary eyes. I take a step back at what I've done. I attacked my best friend. I attacked Lucy. I attacked my sister. I attacked her. Just then and there, I jumped out of my window and ran into the woods.

I growl, I snarl, at anything in my way. Anyone who tries to slow me down. I run deep into the woods, looking for him. Him. The one who I now believe is my mate. I never get angry like that. Especially at Lucy. But yet when she talked bad about my mate, I attacked her.

"You need to slow down and cool off, he will show up. He knows you are here." My wolf whispered.

"So I guess your looking for me huh?"

That voice. The one voice I'm am oh so happy to hear.

"Jake I..."

I didn't finish my sentence, instead I ran to his open arms. I felt safe. I felt worthy. He then carries me to who knows where.

"I'm just gonna take you back to where I'm staying. It's a little, old cabin I found. But don't worry my beautiful mate, I will not hurt you nor will anyone else. I will protect you with my life."

I then fell asleep to his comforting words.

Lucy's POV:

"How could she? How could she just, attack me like that?"

I ramble on and on to Alpha Dylan and Luna Sarah.

"Lucy, what do you think made her so mad, that she attacked you just like that. What did you say to her?"

I couldn't answer Luna Sarah's question. I promised her I wouldn't tell anybody.

"I'm sorry Luna Sarah, but I promised Paige I wouldn't tell anyone what she told me. I'm sorry."

"Lucy if what she said and what your reaction was made her attack you, then you need to tell us."

I could see disappointment in Alpha Dylan's eyes as he said "made her attack". I knew I was going to feel guilty about what I'm going to say next.

"Alpha Dylan, Luna Sarah, do you remember that run she took after school?"

They both nod their heads yes. Yet, they are slightly confused why that has anything to do with Paige being mad.

"She met someone in the woods, a rogue and..."

Alpha Dylan shoots up in the air, anger in his eyes.

"SHE WHAT!"

I flinch when he yells, I always do.

"Hun, just calm down. Let Lucy finsh her story."

Alpha Dylan calms at his mates request and sits down.

"Like I said, she met someone in the woods and when she told me I freaked out. I said some bad things about the rogue and she got angry. Really angry. Then she just shifted and attacked me. Then she backed up and jumped out the window and ran into the woods."

Paige's POV:

I wake up, feeling a person holding me. Then I remembered its my mate. God I love calling him that now.

"What you thinking about beautiful?"

I turn over to look at him.

"Just about you."
