Chapter 17: Meeting The Luna (Part 2)

Recap: 'The Luna? Why would she want me?'

'Because she knows about you and Paige.' My wolf whispered.

I'm let out of my holding cell and guided into the dark night, towards my mates home.

Paige's POV:

I cower in my covers as I hear my fathers pounding footsteps on the staircase. I heard what he said downstairs. He will not keep me from my mate, but I wonder where Jake is. Did my father catch him? Is he back with Cassy in the cabin? Is he dead? I couldn't think of my mate dead. It would tear me apart to lose him. My heat is getting worse by the minute and my wolf wants to find Jake. She needs him, we both do. My thoughts were broken by the sound of a slight knocking on my door.

"Sweetheart, may I come in?"

Of course, my dad wants to play the buddy buddy card. But that's not gonna work today.

"What do you want dad?"

"I just want to talk, please I know your in pain. I just have a couple questions to ask you."

'Just listen to what he has to say but don't blow up on him." My wolf whispered.

'Fine' I grumbled.

My father walks hesitantly towards my bed, gently sitting down.

"I just need to ask you something, and please tell me the truth. That mutt..."

"Grrrrrr!" I growled at him loudly.

"I mean, rouge, is he your mate? Because your mother has told me that he is and, look I just want to hear it from you. You are my daughter, the future Alpha of Red Moon Pack. I care about you, you know I do. Family means everything to me and... Do you know how I know you're  gonna be the next Alpha? The color of your eyes of your wolf, they are red with grey on the outside. The red in your eyes meaning your from this pack, the grey meaning your an Alpha. It's what the moon goddess put you as. But really, the color of your eyes mean nothing. You are independent and wise. The moon goddess comes into my dreams and shows that you, my daughter, are an alpha. I noticed on the rogue that he is just like you. A future alpha."

I look at my father, shocked at the new news.

"He's an alpha? Daddy please don't lie to me."

"I'm not lying, but tell me the truth. Is he your mate?"

I nod my head slowly, looking down at my hands.

"I know you heard what I said downstairs, I'm sorry I said that but, I just don't want to lose one of my baby girls. Come here, give dad a hug."

I hug my father so tightly, afraid he's going to stop loving me. I cry into his shoulder, wanting my father there to hold me forever. We both turn our heads when we hear a knocking at my door.

"Sweetie, someone is here to see you." My mother said. I look behind her to find Lucy, her eyes red. Her blonde hair messed up and greasy. And yet her beautiful smile when she saw me. She lit up like a Christmas tree it seemed like. I looked into her eyes to find regret, love, and sadness. Knowing I caused all that makes me feel guilty as hell.

"You're back." She whispered ever so slightly, like she was afraid to speak.

My parents went out of the room to what I'm assuming to let Lucy and me talk.

" I'm so sorry Lucy, I really am. I'm so stupid, I let my emotions take over. It shouldn't have happened. I..."

"Paige, don't. I should've just listened to what you had to say. Whatever you were gonna say then, please tell me now. I forgive you for attacking me but I'm sorry I freaked out. Just tell me what you were gonna say."

"Lucy, that rogue I met in the woods, he's my ma..."

"Yea I already know, your mom told me. But she also told me you are in heat. Are you ok? Any pain, cramping, headaches, nausea, puking, bleeding, anything?"

"At first there was a lot of pain, there still is. I have a slight headache, and bleeding "down there" a lot. But I will be... Ughhhh!!! Fuck this hurts!"

"Luna! Alpha! We need him. Now!"

Jake's POV:

"Go mutt, Luna Sarah is in there. Go in peace or leave in pieces. You break the rules, we break you. Got it?"

I nod at Josh(third in command) at his request. I walk hesitantly up the front steps.

"My god you're slower then my grandma, and she's dead. Would you hurry up already?"

I glare at the idiot behind me.

'Can you walk any slower? My god, our mate is in there and is in pain. She started get heat, I can smell it. Just go!" My wolf growled.

I open the door and met with a worried smile. And by the smell of it, I can tell it's the Luna, Paige's mother.
