Chapter 13: Heat

'You better...'

Alpha Dylan's POV:

I kind of feel bad for shutting my wolf out. I know he wants us to do the right thing but I can't help think that a rogue did something to my daughter. I need to kill that mutt. Me and my pack have been looking all night for the rogue and have yet to find a trail of scent. I know my mate misses me, I can feel it through the bond. I miss her just as much. I want to be there with her, holding her. Telling her everything will be OK. But right now I need to illiminate all threats to my family. I need them safe. My son Jackson has yet to find his mate as does Paige. My thoughts were cut short by the smell of the rogue.

'I'm going to kill that fucking bastard!'

Paige's POV:

I can't help but worry about Jake.
'What if my father finds him?'

I mean, I know Jake can hold his own ground. But I just wish he was here, holding me like the night before. None of the pack has been at school since the day I met Jake.

"Its because everyone was worried about you" my wolf whispered.

I can't help but feel guilty for making everyone worry. God all I fucking want is my mate! I stand under the showerhead crying. I just cry endlessly for my mate. For him to be safe. For him to be here. I regret yelling at him the day I met him. He's all I want right now. I miss him so much that...

"Ahhh holy fucking moon goddess!"

I scream in agonizing pain in my lower area. I look down and see blood dripping heavily from my womanhood. Holy. Fucking. Shit. I'm in heat.( heat is like a girl with her period, but more painful. Pain is relived by having sex with ur mate. Heat starts a couple days after u meet ur mate for the first time)

"Sweetheart are you OK in there?"

I can't seem to answer my worried mother outside the bathroom door.

"Baby girl are you OK? Please answer me, else I'm coming in."

"Ahhh mommy it hurts!"

I hear my mother rush into the bathroom and pull the shower curtain back.

"Oh my god! Baby girl, you're in heat! Lily! Get your ass upstairs and bring a cup of ice water, now!"

I begin to feel sleepy and going slightly numb from all the pain. 'It just hurts so much...'

'It will be OK Paige, we just need to find Jake. He's the only one that can stop this pain. We need him" my wolf assured me.

"No no no no baby girl stay awake. Block the pain sweetie, OK? Just breath slowly."

I cry harder wishing it was Jake saying that. I want him. I need him.

"Ahhh mommy I need him!!! Now!"

"Need who baby girl?"

"Jake, I need my mate. Please mommy don't let daddy hurt him. Please..."

"I won't baby. I will make sure of it. Now let's get you into your room, or do you want to stay in the bathroom?"

"To hell I'm moving! Fuck make this go away!!"

I'm surprised my mother didn't question when I mentioned Jake.

"Oh my god Paige! Mom here is her water. Why the hell is she in fucking heat?!?"

"STOP YELLING LILY!"

My sister coward at my mother's tone. Her Luna tone.

"Yes Luna."

My mother gave me a sip of water and started slightly moving her index find up and down from my forehead, down to the tip of my nose. It was calming, but yet it didn't help lower the pain.

"My mother used to do this when I first gone into heat. Ur father wasn't there to help, he was doing pack training with his father. It always made me feel safe."

I stare at my mother in awe, wishing I could be just like her.

"And don't you worry darling, Jake will be here soon. I promise."
