Samuel smiled and got out as well, he went to talk to the boys and Lea went to her father's office. The door was open, the man was talking to someone on the phone, luckily Letycja wasn't in the office, she didn't feel like taking any more sarcastic remarks from her. She sat down in front of her father and pulled out a crumpled piece of paper, waiting for the man to finish talking.

– You're early. I'm glad you're here at all – her father put the phone down and looked at his daughter.

– I've got a lot to take care of - she admitted – this is a list of things I want to fix at the center, here's the name – she handed the paper to her father – I've been there and in my opinion this place deserves to be looked at.

– A lot – he muttered, looking at the paper.

– I want to take care of some of these things myself, it will cut costs. But I need access to my budget.

– Are you sure that this is what you want to take care of from your own budget? - he asked, looking up from the paper.

– You've already closed out this year's expenses – she noticed - and the palace's finances must be tight – my budget has been intact for years, it won't hurt me too much, I don't have any expenses anyway.

– That's a fact, you're probably the only one with an intact account – he agreed.

– Well, exactly. And the job will be good for me.

– And what about security?

– The facility is hermetic, it can be secured from the outside, inside among the old people I'm in no danger.

– I'll talk to Samuel about it – he agreed – but I have one condition – he added after a while.

Lea saw the glint in his eyes, it didn't bode well for her, she would have to leave her comfort zone again.

– A lot of people are pushing me to be active in the public, they see great potential in you when it comes to public opinion. People like you.

– To the point – she said, she didn't want to hear it at all.

– I'll agree to renovate the center, but I want you to be active in the press, on television, in public.

Lea turned pale, it was like a blow to both knees at once, for what sins?

– I understand that this silence means agreement? – he smiled.

– Unfortunately – Lea stood up, her father handed her the note. She had to agree, even though her heart cried out for negotiations that were doomed from the start.

– Prepare a proper summary for me, I'll take care of it.

– Thank you – she put the note in her pocket and left the office, heading for Marika's room. She informed her of her intentions, the girl took the piece of paper from her and began to write a list of tasks and expenses on the computer.

– What have you been doing? – Samuel asked as he entered Marika's office – Your father is calling me – he said with a smile, but he saw her pale face and became serious – Oh dear, what happened? – He crouched down beside her and looked at her with concern.

– Maybe you should go see him – she muttered.

Samuel hesitated, but he got up and left the office because he was worried. He knocked on the door of the king's office, heard "come in," and went in. Her father was sitting alone in the office, surrounded by papers.

– It's good to see you, Samuel – he shook his hand – please sit down.

– Is something wrong? – Samuel asked – I saw Lea, she was going terribly pale.
